I am rejecting this response because:He did tell me not to call and that he would call me when job was completed. I did remove a chain from vehicle as everything else was stolen and didn't know if car would start. Ther e is no sign stating the business is not responsible for lost or stolen goods left in vehicles that I could see. We expected our car to be locked at all times when not being worked on. We have since taken car to dealership and they found the vacuum lines broken from him being on top of motor which caused the lights to be on, engine light and traction control light, that we had him reset before we left the first time. Those lights were not on until after he did the work. We have paper from dealership showing an addition am $700 worth of damages done by him.I never told him I thought there was a short he made that comment. In closing he caused $700 worth of damages as well as having $700 worth of tools stolen.
Sincerely,

I did replace the oil sending unit as per his suggestion. He took the car and paid for it. He had already had an oil sending unit replaced previously, I did not know this until after the fact. He did call a few days later saying the oil sending unit light was on and he think it was a short. I asked...

him to bring it back and I would look at it. I did check it for bad connections and he called and said as soon as I know anything I will call him back. I would never tell anyone not to call me. He didn’t call. The car was outside, I am not responsible for anything left in the vehicle. I did not take anything. I had the key and I was going to go back to it. I did leave the car unlocked. I had to go to Poplar Bluff on personal business when he showed up and that’s when my partner called me on my cell phone. I was already almost to Poplar Bluff I apologized because I did have the key, but the work was not done. He stated the license plates have been stolen. I have no reason to take anyone’s license plates. I told him it would need to be reported to the police. I know my partner seen him unloading things from his car to his other vehicle. He just took the vehicle without saying a word. I have not heard from him since. I gave his key back to his buddy who recommended me to him.
