On June 10, 2014, an individual from Safe Home Control visited our home at *** *** *** *** ** *** and convinced us to sign up for an ADT home security systemWe had auto-draft set up and payments were always drafted on timeWe sold the house in *** on April 30, Since we had not completed the year agreement on the security system, we were told by Safe Home representatives that as long as the new owner set up an account with them we would not be liable for any cancellation feesThe new owner did set up an account and still has the alarm system active in his nameWe were told by Tony R*** via phone that everything was good and our account was closedWe received no further bills and as far as we could tell, our account was deactivated (we could no longer log into our online account, apps no longer worked on our phones, etc.)
Almost year later, on March 15, 2016, I received an email from Matthew A*** from Safe Home Control that stated:

In March of 2015, my husband, ***topher T***, and I terminated our contract with ADT Security SystemsIn addition to the fact that we were selling the home where the system was installed, ADT Security Systems did not agree to place our account on hold so that we could restart service once we moved into our new homeFurthermore, prior to that, we had billing issues that we discovered were caused by communication issues between ADT Security Systems and Safe Home Control; when experiencing these issues, it was the first time we were made aware that our account was not actually through ADT Security Systems, the company we signed a contract with, rather, unknown to us, our account was through Safe Home ControlBeing that all of this transpired causing our distrust, in addition to not being able to place our account on hold until moving into our new home, we called to terminate our contract at a one-time cost of $to our *** *** that was on fileThe customer service rep
