Complaint: I am rejecting this response because: Although I agree that the waitress and manager were polite, the remainder of the response is a total fabrication; I assume to protect herself (the manager) from liability The manager told me that she could not honor the prices as listed in the menu I was given There was absolutely no offer to have me pay the lower rate If she had, there would nave been no compliant Another falsehood (for which she should refer back to the menu), she would have seen that the price difference was one dollar on one steak and two dollars for the other, i.e., a three dollar difference Yes, my son was embarrassed because he did not want to stand up for what is right He preferred to just let it passI did not I hope to instill in him the knowledge to act when he is right and understand that there are laws protecting consumers, up to and including deceptive trade practices laws.I also did not cause a scene as I never raised by voice, did not rant unless stating my case is ranting If that was the "rant", then she ranted as well I felt that we were polite to each other while disagreeingI felt sorry for the waitress during this as none of this was her fault and she was clearly uncomfortable I was simply given an menu with lower prices I asked for the lower prices I did not know the menu was old when I was handed it I expected to pay the prices listed and was paying for both mine and my sons meal.In the closing sentences of her response, she offered to by me a steak on her If this offer was made with true and unconditional intent, it is an acceptable solution I retain the right to select the restaurant and will agree to ordering a meal of same or lesser value to the one purchased by myself Any cost over and beyond what I paid will remain my responsibility Sincerely, [redacted]

Ms***In reference to the situation that happened at the Brazos Cattle Company (ID#10998502) in which a complaint was filled against the restaurant is not all accurateFirstly when my employee approached me about the incident I asked her what happened and she stated that as soon as the gentlemen
opened their menus she immediately noticed that the man had a bad menu it consisted of one page and our menus have threeShe stated that she told him and he got irate with herMy staff are told and taught to never argue with customers, so she immediately came and got meI approached the table and politely spoke to both gentlemen and asked what can I do to helpThe other gentlemen which was the complainers son immediately said he had nothing to do with it and that he was embarrassed and didn't want any parts of this, I turned to the complainer and asked sir what seems to be the problem he told me he was told he was given a bad menu and did not think that it was professional I stated that I agreed and would rectify the problemHe then asked if he could get the steak he wanted at the price his menu stated I said sure (it was only a dollar difference not three as he stated)I proceeded to apologize and tell him I was sorry and he ranted and ranted he finally stated only a dollar but that's bad business and he further said to me don't even worry about it I HAVE MONEY I don't need your dollarI again apologized and told him it was no problem I could and would gladly take it off he said no don't even bother, and proceeded to orderI never stated that I had been complaining to my staff about the menu's seeing as we changed menu's a year agowhat I think happened is during the month of December we have lots of party's and a few menu's stored and that an employee grabbed that ONE menu that was not changed as I said we changed our menu's out roughly a year ago and have never had this problemThe man stated he didn't want to cause a scene but he most certainly didIf it is that big of a problem for him I will gladly give him his Dollar or even a steak dinner on meDon't know where the three dollar amount came from? Please inform him that there will never be an incident that would warrant this company to ever seek retribution over an incident we take pride in being one of the Best Steak houses in BeaumontAnd would never do anything to tarnish our reputation Thank you,*** *** manager

I offered to fix this and now he is throwing around accusationsHe stated I may be trying to protect myself from liability??? I have been working for this company for years and I have never had a customer go thru such lengths, makes me wonder because, if he says that I wouldn't fix this problem for him and he was unhappy why did he stay? He proceeded to order after we had our conversationWith that being said I offered for him to come in THE BRAZOS CATTLE COMPANY so I could buy him a steak dinner or reimburse him the dollarsI will not be taking care of his bill at another restaurant and think that it is absurd for him to suggest suchI truly hate that he feels wronged and would love for him to visit THE BRAZOS CATTLE COMPANY again and as I stated I will buy his steak dinner here, nowhere else

I am rejecting this response because:   The manager has admitted to the mistake.  I see no point in any more he said / she said as it is apparent that our recollections of events are diametrically opposed.  The crux of the issue is a menu with advertised prices lower than another menu was presented to me upon arrival at the restaurant.  I explained to the waitress I expected to get the lower of the two prices  Again, the manager acknowledges this discrepancy which is in effect the point of my contention.  I accepted the manager's remedy of a steak meal, but only without conditions, which she refuses.  If agreement can not be met via the Revdex.com,  I would encourage the manager refer this to the Brazos Cattle Company's legal department and/or home office.  It would have been much simpler to honor the lower of the listed prices. I again request the full price of the meal be remitted to me or removed from my American Express account upon which it was charged.  Further frustration with this matter will precipitate a request for additional monies as remedy.
Sincerely,
