Brazzell Funeral Homes

The Albion Brazzell Funeral Home handled the arrangements for a family member recently. It was absolutely disgusting. They had a viewing with no casket and the body splayed on what looked like a gurney. It did not even appear the body had been properly cleaned. I understand there was no money. HOWEVER I called several times because I was concerned that no arrangements seemed to be being made and told them we wanted to make sure things were handled appropriately. We were willing to help with finances. But [redacted] refused to return any of our phone calls. Walking in to see our family member on a gurney with no dignity whatsoever was shocking and sickening. After the viewing we asked to speak with [redacted] so we could at least assure a proper receptacle for the ashes after cremation. He was rude and did not even offer my elderly mother a seat although she was in emotional and borderline physical distress. His commentary was pretty much "you can't get anything without paying in advance". I have never witnessed such gross indignity and crass rudeness and lack of caring for a grieving family in my life. This place deserves to be shut down or at the least they need to relieve [redacted] of any contact with the public. Just the most horrible experience ever. I am still shaking my head in disbelief that a funeral business would be so heartless.
