Dear ***,I received your complaint through the Revdex.com and have already returned ALL the evidence regarding this case back to *** ***for her review. The one part you left out
was the $reduction and our agreement that went with it.Please allow me to remind you It was your offer to me in the telephone conversation(April 27th approximately 7:00pm) that if I agreed to reduce the contract by $2500, I wouldn't have to cancel my family vacation to meet you early (May 1st at 6:00am)Since that was your only day off(Friday) as I already rented a home for the weekend in **. I agreed to your offer which was truly in your favor. I walked away from over 30%(MONIES DUE) of this job after passing final inspection and only having a few small repairs according to your punch list.Although you refused to sign the agreement, stating to ***, "you would not go back on your word, your Mother raised you better than that", you gladly took the discount and filed the claim anyway. I'm going to allow you hours to remove this claim from the Revdex.com and as agreed never bring the Brea Electric name in to press, print, or public reviewIf you refuse to abide to our agreement, I will be forced to take any and all legal action, including but not limited to the recovery of the $that is legally now due to Brea Electric due to your breach. This damage may already have been done since *** *** has informed me that your claim and my response will still be public knowledge.I will check with the Revdex.com on Wednesday May 20th which allows you three business days to address this.Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.*** ** ***Brea ElectricOwner

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[The agreement between [redacted] and myself was he would reduce the original amount of the estimate by 2500.00 as long as he didn't have to complete the job and to pay for all the unauthorized holes in the walls and have the remainder of the job completed by someone else. As to any other agreement there was none verbal nor written when I delivered the check which states "Paid in full" in the note area which [redacted] provided in his attachments and I informed [redacted] that I would not trash Brea Electric on social media which again [redacted] provided in his attachments an email to [redacted] from [redacted] stating this. Again [redacted] provide a paper which I refused to sign to the affect that I would not post any negative comments on social media about Brea Electric which I have not, that Brea Electric would be released of any liability (which I have been informed that Brea Electric would not be released of any workmanship liability for 5 years) and also that I would not sue him later. [redacted] failed to state why the only time I was available was that Friday May 1, 2015 is due to my mother illness I was off of work half of December 2014 all of January 2015 and half of February 2015 trying to take care of her and her affairs unfortunately my mom passed on March 3, 2015. I had also taken a few half days off while the work was being done by [redacted]'s employee [redacted] and was unable to continue to take more time off. I will also note the character of [redacted] to even state anything about my mother in any way. As to his vacation (his 3rd vacation from the initial signing of the original estimate) he stated he would meet me anytime that I was available to do the final walk through and complete the job he did stress "any day". When I said Friday May 1st he stated he was not available he asked about Thursday April 30th and I stated again that I was only available Friday. We continued to discuss this and said he would do anything not to meet on Friday he would reduce the price I stated again that I was only available Friday also reminded him that I had taken a lot of time off for my mom. We agreed that we would meet on Friday at 6:00 am after hanging up approximately 5 minutes later I called him back and stated that if he would reduce the price by 2500.00 he wouldn't have to complete the job and this would pay for the completion of the upgrade and repair all the holes in the walls approximately 15 there are 3 in the kitchen tile that can't be repaired without installing new tile which I didn‘t include in the 2500.00 reduction. [redacted] stated that he could not reduce the cost that much I stated "I will see you on Friday at 6:00am". [redacted] then stated ok he just wants to be done. I stated that I would be there Thursday to pay Brea Electric and to make sure the keys to my house would be in the office when payment was made. [redacted] state that the keys will be there and that [redacted] will have paperwork for me and also paperwork to sign which he didn't elaborate on the contents of the paperwork. This is the paperwork that I refused to sign. I feel the initial breach of contract was Brea Electric not completing the job. Also since I refused to sign the paperwork and there was no other verbal agreement other than releasing Brea Electric from completing the work and paying for the expense to repair the unauthorized holes in the walls  there is no breach of contract on my part.  Brea Electric again also cashed/deposited the check stating Paid In Full.]

Review: On 2-20, 2015 agreed to hire Brea Electric and at the time when I signed the contract I dealt with [redacted]. This was for a rewire, new panel and sub-panel for my home. I was very specific in not have holes made in the walls unless absolutely necessary durning the initial walk through before work began. I received a call from [redacted] stating he would like to begin work on 4-13-15 and would like to me with me either on 4-9-15 or 4-10-15 with his employee I agreed to meet on the 10th on 4-8-15 [redacted] called to inform me that he could not meet with me as his wife wants to go out of town but he would accommodate my schedule. On 4-9-15 [redacted] called me to let me know that his employee [redacted] would be meeting me without him being present and that he went over the details of the job. On 4-10-15 I met with [redacted] did a walk through of about 15 minutes and gave him the keys to my home since I would be at work. Work was started on April 13 later that week when I checked on the progress there had been 3 big holes made in my living room approximately a span of 24" by 30" I informed him that I was to be called before holes were to be made in the walls. I explained the plaster is textured and hard to match and informed him to call me if more holes need to be made so the I can authorize [redacted] stated that he would. The week of the 20th I again went back to check the progress and more holes were made in the living room, dinning room and kitchen all plaster walls. I asked [redacted] why he made more holes he said "he needed to because of the fire breaks in the wall. I said he was suppose to call he said "oh yeah" I called [redacted] and again informed him of the situation he seemed as if he was not concerned. When final walk through was to be done [redacted] did not want to accommodate, agreed to credit before I was informed 15 amp wire was used where 20 amp should be among other issues [redacted] requested I sign a waiver releasing him of any liability I refused.Desired Settlement: I have voicemails and an email collaborating my information that I have given. Paying another licensed electrician to correct the problem and paying for repairs to match all walls if need to be reopened.
