Our policy
Here is an excerpt from our FAQ section regarding our policies:
"How many photographs will you take?
The
amount of pictures you receive varies depending on the amount of time we spend with you and the type of shootFor Weddings you will receive a minimum of images (based on hours+ of shooting)."
The client received 1,images from the wedding and all of the photos that were requested in advance using our online checklist (breaphotography.com/checklist) were taken and provided to the client
Here is another excerpt from our FAQ section regarding our policies:
"Do you provide unedited images?
We do notWe want to present the best of our work and take great pride in our editing processTrust us, you'll love your pictures! We promise!"
Our contract also states that editing is based on the discretion of Brea PhotographyWe do not provide unedited images or unedited work and this was not promised to the client within our contract
Client responsibility and deadlines
The clients wedding took place in August of We ask all of our clients to place their orders within days or before their online gallery expiresIf the gallery needs to be extended, there is typically a $per month fee which was waived for this client
When the order for her images was placed
6/4/(months past the expiration of the gallery)
I reposted her gallery and waived the reactivation fee which we typically chargeThe client placed an order for the images on 6/4/and sent me emails in hours requesting a copyright releaseHere is the response that I emailed to the client on 6/5/15:
"It appears that I have received emails from you in the last hours - we always try to respond to emails within 24-hours, but can't promise an immediate responsePlease know that if you send a message, it may take a day or so to respond since we are a photography studio and tend to be out of the office on shoots and meetings a lot this time of year
Our proofing site is set to immediately provide you with your print release as soon as you place your digital download orderYou are the first person to tell me that you've had any issue with the print releaseI've pasted our copyright release statement for you below and you can use this email as a reference if you are asked for proof of your copyright release

I have spent hours on the phone and exchanging emails with this client and done everything I could to walk through our policies and look through her imagesWe went above and beyond in the number of images that she was provided, password protected her engagement session gallery, deleted and specially edited some of those images per her request and all of this was beyond the contracted agreement
I have run Brea Photography for years and I love what I doWe show up to every wedding with an "emergency kit" full of super glue, breath mints and sewing kits just to lend an extra hand and help the day to run smoothlyI care deeply for my business and for my clients and wish this situation had never come to this
