Break into Hollywood Studios

You attend a class on the weekend about every 3 weeks for months With the promise we will get to meet with agents at the end. The agents at the end are just for show. They claim to take on clients but in the end do nothing. I was far beyond anything they taught at all. But let’s say you did learn something. It wasn’t worth 2300$. Here are the few grant it important things they taught (definitely not worth 2300$) and I can tell you what they were for free. It’s free to Sign up to “central casting” for background work. You need 3 sag vouches (and please save pictures of your sag pay stubs to submit, NOT THE VOUCHERS) to become sag yourself. Backstage is a solid paid website to sign up for to audition for roles. And acting networks also is solid paid website to mostly get background work, but they do sometimes have other roles like for commercials. There, saved you 2300$. BIH did nothing wrong technically but come on, really

Review: B.I.H. studios had me sign a contract where I would take a class every 3 weeks for 5 months, once I had taken my classes I would be in a casting among casting agents who worked for several different companies (such as ABS, Nickolodean, etc). I was told my classes would involve only five men and 5 woomen. The classes was not as I was told it would be. The classes were filled with at least 20 persons and uneven amount of men and women. I was tricked into believing this was a legitimate agency when in fact it is only a scam. Also, I was told by other students in the program that the casting doesn't in fact involve casting agents of other corporations, but has another program that has the students come back for once they've completed there five months. I've been threatened that if I do not attend the classes I can be taken to court.Desired Settlement: I was told to pay an amount for each class I have taken, plus a registration fee. I only want a refund and to not be a part of this agency anymore.

In response to case# [redacted], please note the following facts that clearly dispute the false statements made by this individual. In over 10 years, we have never received such a fraudulent claim of any kind and we are outraged by this attempt to defame our prestigious name of our acting studios.

BIH Actors Studio is a professional acting studio, not a talent agency. An. acting studios provides training and educational services for the actor to develop their career. A talent agency represents an actor that is trained and ready for contract and receives 10% of the actors earnings.

All students review and sign a registration and studio agreement which clearly outlines that we are a professional acting studio. For over a decade, our acting studios has trained and developed beginning actors for a professional career in TV and film. We take great pride in giving our students the very best training by flying in some of the best coaches in the business from Hollywood (our coaches are celebrity actors, casting directors and agents) and expect our students to show up and honor their signed studio agreement. That means being on time for all sessions and making class payments as outlined on their signed registration papers (please refer to student's (case# [redacted]) attached signed registration form and studio agreement- exhibit a & b)

All classes are taught group theatre style (like many top acting studios) and we allow approximately 10-20 students per age group for kids, teens, young adults and adults. Most importantly, at the end of the acting program, we produce a major showcase event where all students get to meet and audition live with top agents., managers and casting directors for contract and casting opportunities. We have top industry people there from such networks as ABC, FOX, CBS, NBC, Nick, BET, and more ... Many of our graduates are starring in national commercials, prime-time TV shows and feature films.

We have had thousands of dedicated and successful graduates over the years and look forward to always giving our students the knowledge, training and tools necessary to complete and start a professional acting career in TV and film.
