Our customer, *** *** booked an entertainer to perform for a bachelorette party in the Fall River, MA area on Saturday, May 30th, At the time of booking we asked the customer to give us four names off our site, not threeShe
gave us four names and we told her we would do our best to get her one of these four entertainers, if not, we will try to match it as close as we canAt the time of booking, she paid a booking fee of $on her Visa Card which was explained to her online in our terms and conditions and also over the phone with our customer service department, that it is a non refundable, non negotiable booking feeWe also told her that if a dancer runs late, that does not constitute a refundWe tell customers this, since in this industry dancers running late can be a common thing, especially on prime time on Friday and Saturday nights
We did receive multiple calls from the customer on the night of the show informing us that the dancer was running lateWe did not have the dancer's phone number since this party was being covered by another entertainer in the area who had this dancer cover the partyWe instructed the customer to stay in contact with the customer so the dancer could get there as quick as he couldWe finally were able to reach the dancer, and he explained that he had two previous shows before this one, and one of the shows made him wait minutes to start since their bachelorette had not arrived yet, and then he hit some major traffic on the way to this partyAlso when he got close to this party, his GPS was not mapping the address correctly which also delayed him
Unfortunately in this industry, dancers do multiple parties on Saturday nights, and are faced with other customers making them wait, heavy traffic conditions, and issues with GPS functioning correctlyAll of these factors played a roll in this customers party being a successThe dancer told us he arrived and was paid the $Cash, which is his base pay, and many dancers have the right to bring another person along with them to help set up and assist with kicking off the partyAfter about minutes of performance, the customer told him that they were good and he should leaveThe dancer was not going to push himself on them and stay longerIf a customer says we are good, you can leave, then the dancers typically pack up and take off at that point
In addition, after researching more about the dancer who showed up to this partyI found out that he was not a licensed driver and I told him that if he does not have a licensed driver to drive him to his events, we would not able to give him any future work
I spoke with the customer over the phone after the party that following Monday concerning this eventShe explained her side of the story as she did in this complaint submitted to Revdex.comI then told her that in those situations, the customer and the dancer either try to make the best of the situationAlso, I added that in a situation for future reference, if she ever hires a dancer to perform either from us, or another company again, that the cash amount paid to the dancer is what is called, the dancer's base pay, thats his pay to show upIf the dancer runs late, or very late or some other mishap, occurs, that it the negotiating part of the money paid that can be revised to satisfy the customer, not the booking feeThe booking fee is merely the fee you pay to book the show and have us process itThe $cash is paid directly to the dancer, those monies never pass *** our business accounts or credit card processing terminalWe are not responsible for those funds
However since the idea of the Revdex.com is to resolve problems between merchants and customers, the only thing we can offer as a courtesy to this customer is this, we will offer her a future party in her local area with no booking fee chargedBut we would still retain the $booking fee from this party, and not refund that, but this would be an in-house credit towards a future event with our companyShe would have six months to take advantage of this credit and have to have a party booked and completed no later than six months from July 27th, That calculated date of expiration of this offer is January 27th, She would need to call our booking office at XXX-XXX-XXXX and ask to speak to Justin and give her name and original date of this show in discussionI will then input her new party information and have the future booking fee waived, however the future booked dancer would still need to be paid his cash base on arrival
