*** *** did call *** *** and request permission to remove items from his Mother's vehicle, Chevy Cruz, last of VIN: *** *** This vehicle had been repossessed in Colorado and had not been delivered to the car lot. *** *** did give staff her
permission to allow *** *** to remove her items since he not the customerIt is company policy to have customers that have been repossessed surrender the key when personal items are removed from the vehicle. The employee that spoke with *** *** is a new hire and had no prior experience in this particular area. She did not mention the key had to be turned in to him and was unaware the vehicle was not presentTherefore he was unable to remove personal items from the vehicle since it was not here and he did not have the key. I, *** *** telephoned *** *** the following day, and explained the situation to him and apologized for the misunderstanding. Mr*** stated his Mother, *** ***, was mailing the key to him. He has since come to *** *** with the key and has removed all personal items from the vehicle with not further issues

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because: *** Griffin is lying, I have road side assistance and I had a tow truck on the wayMy sister has triple A so she could have called a tow truck*** Griffin had the car repossessed stating " she did not know the car was in Colorado" that is falseAt the time the car was taken it had a full tank of gasMy son found the car on our way to Texas Roadhouse for dinnerNot my brother I do not know what the thief did with the keys or the hub capsI had the money to purchase a key in fact two keysIf I didn't have the money my son would have purchased the keysI have the invoice as I am the person who paid the mechanic because he will not give an invoice until he is paid in full*** Griffin is trying to cover up her mistakes without it costing her*** has no idea of my finances and what I can and can not affordI pay full coverage insurance with road side assistance and the road side assistance includes towingMy sister and nephew were considering purchasing vehicles from Griffin Motors however after seeing the nightmare I have endured with them, they went elsewhere and let everyone they know to stay away they are decieftfulI have lost keys before and it's not hard to get keys, a person simply takes the vin to the dealership and they can cut a keyThe only thing I asked *** was if she could fax a copy of my DL since it was in my purse that was stolen along with the vehicle If you have any questions about the incident you can feel free to call *** *** ** *** ** *** ** *** Griffin is not telling the truth and has cost my sister and I more than the car was worth.

Alleysa Allen called *** Motors-Buda WedJune 24th and informed me, *** ***, her vehicle’s alternator was no longer working and the vehicle could not be driven. The vehicle was in the Subway parking lot in Austin, Texas. I explained that the car was at risk of being
impounded and that *** Motors-Buda could tow it to Buda in order to determine the problem. *** Motors-Buda does repair customer’s vehicles at a reduced rate at an agreed upon amount. June 25th, Thursday, I informed *** ***, the cost to repair the car was $plus $charge for towing. Total $320.00. The account was placed in Repossession status because the partial payment for May was past due and the June payment was past due as well. I explained to *** *** her account would have to be brought current. Also I would need $to be paid before the repair work would be started and the balance of $could be paid when she picked up the repaired vehicle. *** *** did not pay any of her payments. She told me she was going to load $onto a card and call me back in order for the repair to be started. She did not call back with the payment. After careful consideration of the risk factors concerning this account, *** Motors-Buda has called the remaining balance due. The balance would have to be paid in order for the vehicle to be redeemed as per the contract page 3, paragraph 15. Thank you in advance for your consideration*** *** Account Manager *** Motors-Buda *** *** ***

The mechanic, [redacted], has made no contact with Griffin Motors-Buda and has not sent an invoice for the repair.I was told by Ms. [redacted] that she did not have the money to pay for the tow of the vehicle and decided based on all the circumstances to repossess the vehicle and deter any further charges.
