Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: The Breitling service center did indeed remove the anti glare coating from my timepiece (both sides) without my approval This coating is integral to both the function and appearance of the timepieceIt has been explained to me that this coating on the saphire crystal lens gives the black dial a bluish appearanceI had first complained to Breitling that they replaced my dial with the wrong color, later through my research I found that the problem was with the anti glare coatingWhen I sent my timepiece for service my crystal was in excellent shape, Breitling offered to replace the crystal as a option because I am sure that under high magnification it showed light scratches I declined its replacement because I was happy with its appearance and functionI again ask that Breitling at it's own expense restore the crystal and my watches appearance to it's original condition A true overhaul would not have removed this coating As a second and less desirable resolution I will accept a full refund for the service I paid for
Sincerely,
*** ***

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I do not agree with the business' explanation of the damage I can recall no dent to the watch to which they speak Also, after the crown had popped off, I tried to press it back on firmly This is the only reason I can think of as to why the watch could have a dent The first time I tried to change the time on the watch after it was in the store's possession, the crown popped off Breitling should be responsible for fixing the watch Anything else is unacceptable
Sincerely,

Please be advised that the watch in question model [redacted]/ serial [redacted] was received from [redacted] Jewelry store on 10/29/2014 with a note that the dial is loose and to estimate for service.
The technical staff evaluated the watch and determined that the dial feet are broken and the watch needs service.
The estimate, listing all the parts that had to be replaced and the necessary services, was forwarded to the store.
We received a request from the store for the watch to be mailed back to them with no work done to it.

Please be advised that the mentioned watch came with a two year warranty so at this point in time the warranty is expired and no longer applicable.
We are unable to perform the repairs at no charge as requested.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

We offered the installation charge of $45 at no charge to Mr. [redacted]. The watch is all set for pick up in the [redacted] store. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  Breitling is not being truthful about situation. [redacted] did not tell [redacted] that he gave me that package.  [redacted] indicated there were many packages that he received and signed for, but since they were unopened he was not aware of contents.  Breitling has been harassing me and threatening me. Their mistake has caused inconvenience and waste of time for me so I am entitled to compensation for this. Steven Hernandez at Breitling New York told me on the phone that I would be receiving service free of charge, and now Breitling headquarters is going back on their word and contradicting him by advising I owe the full amount and threatening not to allow me to give my watch back at all.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] mailed his Breitling watch to us for a repair ([redacted]).
His watch was received on 6/27/2014 and an estimate for the needed repairs was generated on 6/30/2014.
The technical staff evaluated the watch and determined that there was moisture damage inside of his watch.
/>
A complete movement overhaul was needed and the dial, hands and crown had to be replaced.
The estimate that was provided to Mr. [redacted] also indicated that the antiglare coating on his crystal was scratched but since the crystal does not affect the performance of the watch, it was notes on the estimate as an option.
Mr. [redacted] faxed us a written approval on July 2, 2014 for required items only (crystal replacement was declined).
The repair was completed as agreed and it was shipped out on 9/02/2014.
Mr. [redacted] called us on September 9th to let us know that his original dial color was blue and we changed it to black.
I had the techs pull the original dial and the old dial was indeed black.
Mr. [redacted] ended up talking to the service director who contacted our offices in [redacted] to inquire what dial color was the watch originally produces with it.
They informed us that the watch was produced with black dial.
Mr. [redacted] than indicated to us that we must have removed the antiglare coating on his crystal because the new dial appears to be different in color (old dial had water damage and thus the intensity of the color of the old and new dial might be different).
We tried to assure Mr. [redacted] that we would never remove the antiglare coating from his crystal, as this is something that we never do (even though some customers might request it), but he would not accept our explanations. We asked him to return the watch to us and we will be happy to provide him with another estimate for a crystal replacement. We hope this clarifies the situation but please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or concerns you may have.
Best Regards,

Not going to spend $13,400 for Chronomat 44. Thanks for feedback!

Review: My less than 4 year old Breitling [redacted] watch developed a loose watch face without damage or dropping the watch. The watch has a five year warranty. The cost to repair is over $900 when I feel the watch is defective. I took this to a local dealer who stated another gentleman dropped off the exact watch that was less than one year with the exact problem. This watch, when new, also was sent in due to the inability to keep time. This was fixed under warranty.Desired Settlement: The should honor their reputation and repair the watch. If not, I will never purchase another item from them

Review: My Breitling watch has been in for service on many occasions since I purchased it (almost to the point that I think I have a lemon) and was in Breitling's possession as recently as 2 months ago because it was running too quickly. I subsequently went on vacation, changed the time and the crown popped off. I immediately stopped using the watch and took it back to the breitling service center at their flagship [redacted] location. I was told by the service coordinator that initially consulted with me that he apologized for the number of issues I have had with the watch. Several days later I received a call back from the store saying that water had gotten into the watch and that the interior of the watch was rusted and that it would cost me approximately $2k to fix the watch. This is unbelievable as the crown malfunctioned only after it had been in breitling's possession. They should be responsible for fixing the watch.Desired Settlement: Breitling should fix the watch free of charge. It was last in their possession before malfunctioning. The watch is a luxury item that has operated like a piece of junk.
