On 6/26/15 we made a visit to Mrs. [redacted]'s home in response to her complaint of air quality issues in her new home.  When we arrived on June 26th we noticed that her electronic air cleaner was not turned on and that she did not have a low return in her home which would make it very cold in...

the winter.  Her heat comes out of the ceiling and a high return in the ceiling would pull the heat across the ceiling into the return and she would have very cold winter floor temperatures, especially problematic for elderly individuals.  We turned her electronic air cleaner back on for her.  As requested by Mrs. [redacted], we provided a quote for installing a REME air purifier exactly like the one she had in her other home as well as a thermostat.  Additionally, we provided an estimate for installing a low return duct to pull the cold air off the floor.  Mrs. [redacted] contacted us on 6/29/15 and gave us approval to install the REME and thermostat.  On 7/6/15 we installed the REME for $1,100 but she declined to have the thermostat installed.  She then requested a quote on a dehumidifier and a thermostat.  On 8/25/15 Mrs. [redacted] called to schedule the low return ductwork we had quoted plus installing a central humidifier.  The return ductwork and humidifier was installed on 9/17/15 thru 9/18/15 for $3,165.00.
On 12/15/15 Mrs. [redacted] called us with a complaint that the humidifier was running constantly and that the humidity was 53% in the home.  She said it felt too humid and wet feeling.  Our technician found the humidifier we installed was not running but a free standing humidifier in her bedroom was running.  This is where she took her humidity readings. We charged her $60 for this trip rather than our customary $99 fee.
On 2/18/16 Mrs. [redacted] called in to schedule the thermostat installation.  When our technican arrived, she declined to have the thermostat installed.  We did not bill her for this trip.
On 3/25/16 Mrs. [redacted] called in to say there was a loud noise from the HVAC equipment in the attic and that she also doesn't think the REME is working properly.  We found the filter was dirty, which we cleaned and verified the REME was working properly.  We recommended and installed a new programmable thermostat for $495.00.
On 4/21/16 Mrs. [redacted] called to say there was fuzzy dust all over the house.  We could not find anything wrong and did not bill the customer for this trip.
On 7/11/16 Mrs. [redacted] called in to say her unit was not cooling.  She said she had to play with the thermostat to get it to come on.  We replaced the thermostat with a new unit.  We did not charge her for this visit.
On 7/17/16 Mrs. [redacted] called in to say the thermostat was not working.  We found that her unit was low on refrigerant and added two pounds of refrigerant for $208.  We did not charge her a $99 diagnostics fee for this trip.  This is the first time she asked us to service her HVAC equipment.  Once the refrigerant was added the unit began cooling properly.

Review: I got in touch with Bremac as I was told by the person that we had our Mortgage with that Bremac would be good for my husband and myself to call for dehumidifier, humidifier and air filter, mildew and mold elimanator, as I have asthma and allergey problems that are sever and I have had this problem since 1999 and am very aware of my health needs as I have had all of these types of equipment for this problem and I got them from Frank at bremac and have had nothing but problems and over charge and faulty equipment and after more than $6,000.00. I have nothing working and this home was new in May 2016 and Bremac supplied all of this equipment and it does not work and when it does not they just disconnect the equipment and leave they just charge me $20.,00 for coolant I did not need and the $500.00 thermostat the installed did to work properly and they installed another and it was not new I was told y the installer the thermostat had given them problems, ther was not instruction booklet and I asked for one and was told there was not on I paid $500.00 for a three month old thermostat and it was not new. I t was not pre set and the installer checked on Sat . 4th July 2016 and said I did not need coolant it was just the faulty thermostat, Sunday 4th July 2016 weekend the tem got in my home to 87 degrees and I recalled Breemac and the same installer came to my home and pre set the thermostat it worked fine. He went out side came back in and had a charge for 2008.00 I was charged for coolant and was told it was low on coolant and at 6:00PM Sat. 4th of July 2016 there was not a coolant problem only a thermostat problem it just was not pre set by installer the reason for the temp going to 87 degrees not a coolant problem and I replied I was not going to pay $208.00 for something I did not need . Bremacs Installer stated Oh, yes you will. I did not, but Bremac has sent me a Bill for $208.00 that I was charge just to cover up a problem of the not pre set the auto thermostatDesired Settlement: All of the equipments in working order and delete the $208.00 that I was charged for no no reason.
