[redacted] is correct in that the vehicle had been priced at $25,and it still showed $25,on CarSoupThe issue developed due to CarSoup, a third party marketing site, not updating their data in a timely mannerWe did raise the price of the Camaro the night before and it was reflected on most websites, also the price tag in the vehicle reflected the new priceI do apologize for the inconveniencePlease keep in mind at no point did we commit to sell the vehicle for $25,and then raise the price, we made it clear prior to [redacted] coming to the dealership that the price had been adjusted upward the prior evening[redacted]
I'm sorry that your vehicle is having problems but please keep in mind we did not design or build the vehicleYes, we did replace your timing chain months ago with a new GM timing chain and in my opinion it should have lasted longer, but as you stated GM only warranties the part for months Had the part failed in the stated time frame we would, without hesitation, repair your vehicle but the reality is the repair is out of warrantyI am sorry, but if we extend the repair warranty on your vehicle then in all fairness we would need to extend repair warranties on all vehiclesNow the question begs, if we extend the warranty where do we cut it off, months-years-3years? I'm sure you can see the dilemma we faceIt's because of this that we hold to the stated manufacture's warranty, when it's expired the coverage is doneAgain, I am sorry.Tony [redacted] ***
This complaint was filed by the boy friend of the owner not the owner of the vehicleWe did contact the owner and she agreed the noise she was hearing was not present when it was purchased and the vehicle did not starting making noise until sometime after taking deliveryThe vehicle was diagnosed as having noisy upper strut bearings which is not a safety issue although it can be an announceThe vehicle was sold with a month 6,mile warranty but due to the age and miles of the vehicle the component making the noise was not covered under the warrantySide note...the owner did receive a copy of the warranty at time of purchase which does list all components covered and the full terms of the warrantyThe owner contacted me after being told by our service department that the part was not covered, after a lengthy discussion I informed the owner to contact me the next day so that I would have time to review the matter and discuss her optionsLate the next day I had not heard from the owner so I called her and was unable to make contactThe next week I got a call from the owner stating she had the repair done at another location but the vehicle was still making noiseAt this time she notified me that she desired to exchange the vehicle for one at one of our other dealershipsAfter a short conversation I explained that under our "Confidence Plus Warranty" she had a day window to exchange the vehicle for one at the original dealership she purchased from and that this was spelled in her copy of the warrantyShortly after this conversation she did exchange her vehicle for an Altima we had in stockUnder our exchange policy the owner was refunded the full purchases price of the original vehicle net a small mileage charge for miles accruedSide note....we sold the original vehicle to another customer within several days of it being returned and the new owners are ecstatic with the car
