I am rejecting this response because: per our conversation yesterday, please contact Brennan Custom Paint to ascertain what his statement “it is not worth the effort to pursue this furtherRelinquish whatever she wants,” means in detail Does he plan to refund me $as requested?

This complaint has no validityThe contract was to do some handyman type work such as plumbing repairs and to remove existing exposed and install a new tile supplied by the owner. My installer did his best to work with the circumstances, was at property times the last giving up his Saturday to work around her schedule. The problem with the floor existed with the multiple layers that were underneath the flooring after he pulled in upIn hindsight, he should have stopped and not proceeded without a change orderHowever, he tried to work with the uneven surfaceHe and the owner even discussed putting down plywoodShe suggested a 1/" overlay and he said it needed more than that, she refused to pay anything beyond the originalMy installer did his best to get he tiles to lay flatBut without a total removal and install of a new sub floor that was never going to workThe last day he got the tiles to sit flat but there were some gaps between the some of the tilesGiven the circumstances that was the best anyone could have doneThis person wants money back nowThe scope of the job was met and then some as she asked for several things to be done at no chargeWe have a good reputation and have no wish to sully itA level of fairness is due to the contractor sometimesHomeowners have too much leverage, not all contractors are badThe owner wants $back? have no idea where that number was drawn fromIf she wants $back I will do that

That is not what was told me by my installerSomeone is not telling the truthHe pulled over on the side of the road to explain in detail. However, it is not worth the effort to pursue this furtherRelinquish whatever she wants, we did our best to satisfy her

After consideration and some thought towards this matter we will not be responding anything towards this project she more than got her money's worth despite her claims

I am rejecting this response because:
Yes, he was
at my property timesHe came on the first day, removed the vinyl flooring (two layers) and said he
would return the next day to install the new tiles
At no point
did the worker suggest that additional work was needed to install the
flooring. The owner states “he should have stopped and not proceeded without a change
order,” and that I refused to pay anything beyond the original priceI have no
idea what an “overlay” is. If this was
suggested and I refused then that should have been put in the work order signed
by me and/or he should have contacted you immediately to get my verbal
permission to continue stating that I was aware of this outcome
The
installer said on both occasions Wednesday when he returned to lay the flooring
initially and on Saturday when he returned to attempt to make the corrections
that the adhesive had to dry before the floor would settleIf it was due to
deficiency in the flooring, why did he need to return if nothing could be done? To this day (07/05/16), the edges of the
tiles are still loose and the gaps are still there He even damaged a few tiles when he removed
them and tried to put them back in place
I
was charged $(that was paid in full), the following day. I have drawn that figure from the work
request items, install faucet on sink, in tub (which I had to read the
instructions to him to do correctly, as he tried to put caulking around the tub
sprout???) and flooring equally $504/3=$168.00,
plus for the additional tiles (.88) he used when he returned on Saturday
