Review: Although my water heater was working perfectly right, I think it might be old and about the time to replace. I asked [redacted] Blake, the plumber whom I always asked to repair any plumbing problems, including for my another apartment, as well as for my daughter's house and for her friend's house for the last 4 years. He estimated $860.00 by telephone conversation to replace the water heater, but after he checked out the water heater, he recommended to replace the pipes, and he revised his estimate to $1,200.oo. ( Later, I found the new pipe price at Home Depo are less than $100.00.) Since I trusted him, I agreed to pay $1,200.00. However, after he finished to replace the water heater and I paid $1,200.00, I had much less water pressure of the shower. I complained him to adjust. He did but then no room heater has worked. He tried to adjusted the water heater again for a couple of hours, but couldn't make it. Consequently he blamed the small pump to push the hot water to the room heater system, and he called a pump specialist. Surprisingly, he left the pump off, which we had to spent no room heater in the cold night. The pump specialist came in the next day with the cartridge assembly which [redacted] thought malfunctioned. The pump specialist just replaced without test the existing cartridge and made the heater worked.Then I had to pay $375.00. I left message [redacted] to take his responsibility to finish his job which he had to pick up the parts and put it back to the pump, if he thought the pump was the problem instead of asking the pump specialist. He has never responded. I strongly feel [redacted] abandoned his responsibility as the profession of the plumber. He should pay $375.00 to me. I like to go to the small court, but unfortunately, I will go out of town for a couple of month and have no time to come back for the court. I am keeping the old cartridge and like to ask the manufacturer to test it in the future.Desired Settlement: At least [redacted] has to pay back $375.00 to me.He created the problem instead of replacement.

I gave [redacted] a very fair price for this water heater. I also explained to him that if he needed any other parts it would be extra, he has a hydronic heating system connected to the same water heater and the old valves were extremely corroded and needed to be cut out and new ones welded in.(3 of them) Also new gas valve and flex and water flex lines to bring it up to code, again gave him a fair price. He called back a couple days later saying space heater wasn't working properly. I spent a lot of time diagnosing and installing an extra line at no charge. When I figured out it was the pump for home space heating not anything to do with water heater and I would have to order it, he got upset and said he was cold. I made a call to a friend who said he had one and told tony he could come out and install it and it would be a separate job from the water heater and he would have to pay him directly, he agreed.
