Mr [redacted] was one of over 500,individuals who filed claims against BP for damages alleged to be associated to the oil spill The MDL Court assigned the case grappled with many issues, not only in the number of claimants, but with many issues associated to multiple other cross-defendants and technical legal issues, along with claims brought by the Department of Justice and numerous state agenciesOur firm represented about 10,of these claimantsThe Court entered a confidential settlement program to discuss these cases in 2016, which resulted in obtaining an offer Mr [redacted] chose to acceptUnfortunately, BP sent TWO releases instead of one, both for different amounts, indicating some error on their side We noted this, signed for the higher amount and remitted the paperworkIn spite of this, BP funded for the lower amountWe immediately brought this to the Court’s attention and were able to get confirmation from the Court through his liaison that this error would be corrected Mr [redacted] was not very patient with this process, and eventually accused our firm of impropriety and filed a grievance During this process, we remitted all the correspondence from the Court and during the pendency of that matter last month the rest of the money finally fundedAt that time (via email on February 08, 2016) Mr [redacted] then related the following: “Only good words from me from now onI retract all my previous complaints and I will give good reviews on Brent Cn and AssociatesYou got it DoneGreat and Thanks again”I would assume that Mr [redacted] , though understandably frustrated with the error by BP, now understands the issue, has received the rest of the funds owed through this Court process, and is happy with our representation Brent WCoonFounder/CEO-Brent Cn & Associates
