1-18-ID # [redacted] This is a response to the above compliant Al work was signed off by home owner [redacted] and the [redacted] County Improvement authority All work was done satisfactorily I would have not been paid by the [redacted] if not I was the second contractor there to repair work done by the previous contractor 1] The bean that was installed was due to the previous contractorHe installed a set of french doors were a bearing wall was He never install a header that was necessary to support the ceiling joist by code he had to I notified the [redacted] was the case manager He came and saw it took notes and then we installed the bean The ceiling joist were sagging at that point that is the reason the doors did not work correctly Mr [redacted] never contacted me I have worked with Mr [redacted] in other Townships so he would have contacted me 2} I removed the kitchen floor the floor was installed incorrectly directly over plywood I had to install hardi-backer sub floor The only room I was doing was that room as per the [redacted] contract The home owner was advised there could be a slight difference since the rest of the floors were install directly over plywood There could be up to a 1/difference in floor heights 4] There was no broken ceiling fan 5] I did not scratch Tv there are two perfect marks on the TV screen If I had damaged the TV it would have been a long scratch Shower doors were installed properly A change order was submitted by [redacted] case manager I did not install any flooring other than kitchen Moving the vent was not in the contract as provide by [redacted] The ceiling fan was provide by home owner I do not warrant any home owner bought fixtures I worked on the light in kitchen as a favor to [redacted] director at [redacted] to see if I could help him out The other lighting was done by a previous Contractor If you have any questions please fell free to call me We did work to the standards of the *** Jack B Bresch Family Contractors CC [redacted] cc [redacted] They area the people from The [redacted] # [redacted]

Review: Bresch Family contractors breeched a 10/22/14 Construction Agreement. I was approved for a Home Improvement Grant through [redacted] County. In turn, a lien and Construction Agreement was placed on my home. Bresch was paid through The County once work was completed. Unfortunately, Bresch Family Contractors failed to perform work up to standards, as stated in our Construction Agreement. They installed a beam in my home but did not pull a building permit, (Beam was not insp.) I spoke to Mr. [redacted], Inspector at Borough of [redacted]. He stated, I would have to cover permit penalties since Bresch did not pull a building permit. Mr. [redacted], attempted to contact Bresch Family Contractors but has was unsuccessful. In addition, Bresch Installed floor tiles in living/dinning and kitchen but failed to level floors, according to write-up ( tiles are uneven and slopped) broke bedroom ceiling fan, when carrying closet doors,scratched new tv screen when closet doors were inst.,broke glass centerpiece,improperly installed shower doors (water damaged new floor base boards, no tract to keep doors in place, stripped screws). I gave him ample enough time to repair and replace damages but he did not return as promised. He was paid $7,970 upon completion of half the work and a final payment of $7,970 once work was done. In total, he was paid $15,940 for work not done up to standards. I informed The County of the breech of contract, but Bresch Family Contractors were still paid. Overall, Bresch Family Contractors did not comply with #4,(I assumed work was completed since [redacted] County Inspected work), 6 (I did not receive proper documentation of any subcontractors), 9,12,15 ( one year warranty repair, correct or replace defects) and 16 . Bresch did not submit a change order form to the County to install a beam. This binding agreement was broken by Bresch Family Contractors. The Construction Agreement, dated on 10/22/14, should be removed from [redacted]Desired Settlement: Construction Agreement was not kept, therefore this lien should be removed from my property. I have to hire a reputable contractor to repair all defects and damages done by Bresch Family Contractor such as: remove flooring from living, dinning, and kitchen. Level and replace all flooring. Bresch installed a floor vent in kitchen entrance(I trip over this vent constantly). The new contractor will need to move duct over to wall(at an additional cost),in order to fix construction barrier, remove and replace bathroom doors and base boards, replace ceiling fixture, adjust closet doors, beam must be inspected(Bresch charged me an additional $900 but claimed he didn't install it)In addition,Bresch was paid to install recess lighting fixture in kitchen and ceiling fan. The ceiling fan does not work and recess lighting has intermitten issues. I need to hire an electrician to address this major concern.I received a quote from a contractor which exceeds $7,000 to correct these costly mistakes.
