Brewer Auto(aka [redacted] Auto) hired to replace engine.Gave [redacted] $1800 on 11/9/13, engine still not repaired, refuses to give money back.Took my [redacted] Cherokee to Brewer's Auto in Southaven on 11/9/13. The current owner [redacted] stated that I needed a new engine and quoted me a price of $1800 with a one year warranty. I provided [redacted]'s employee, [redacted], $1800 cash, we both counted the money, which was also witnessed by my fiance [redacted] After numerous calls and follow-ups, my [redacted] was returned to me on March 7, 2014, with a replaced used engine. [redacted] dropped the [redacted] off at my residence, but left me no receipt, or warranty. On March 20, 2014, the [redacted] engine began to knock and would die when idling. I contacted [redacted] and he told me he would pick up the [redacted] and for me to leave the key in it and unlocked. He did not pick up the [redacted], and when I contacted him he stated he had issues with his mother. I waited several more days for him to pick up the [redacted] but he never did or returned my calls. On April 24, 2014, I dropped the [redacted] off at [redacted]'s business, Brewer's Automotive. I contacted him the next day, but [redacted] stated he would have to call me back. After not receiving any communication from him, I went to the business on May 5, 2014 and asked for my [redacted] and money back. [redacted] refused to refund my money or give me anything in writing on the repairs and warranty. I called the [redacted] Police and filed a report. I went to Brewer's on 5/6/2014 and drove the [redacted] still knocking and cutting out, to my residence. I have not received any communication from [redacted].Desired Settlement$1800 cash.
