Very bad experience as after the repair when went back with same issue, gave different reason and trying to charge even for diagnostic $140. Not standing on their word nor on warranty. Management makes employees sing to their tune and employees do that. I saw one post where employee got fired when he did not do that.

The General Manager of the store contacted Mr. and Mrs. yesterday. Mr. told our GM that they will be bringing the vehicle in for a complimentary diagnostic to determine the root cause of their light being on.

Every since I took my car to the Irving location, I've had multiple issues with my car.. & now the 3rd Manager that I have spoken to at this location since my 1st initial visit when, Manager James was there. I went because my battery light kept going on & off & figured 2 go ahead & get an oil change. $1600.00 later, I was told that I needed a new alternator & timing belt, which came as a kit & included a oil pan gasket, water pump, timing belt, etc. I then had to return 3 times within 2 weeks, because battery light still came on & now had a oil leak. That NEVER existed. They replaced 3 alternator's with the 3rd being good, now my oil leak that they said was my valve cover gaskets which would be another $1200.00, so I needed 2 check my oil before driving back there & my oil dipstick is broke & a piece 2 the cover over my oil/engine is missing whereas I can't lock it back on top. I go back after setting up a meeting with the NEW manager Jessica, only to go for the meeting the next day & she's not there, yet Andrew is whom I tried to talk with 1st, but he kept saying he wasn't there. So, Andrew then tells me he will take care of everything, I leave my car 2 get fixed, yet again. I get back 2 get my car after work, only to find out that they only changed out the dam dipstick. That is extremely POOR customer service & then he tells me that they didn't touch nothing else prior. Which is a Bigger dam like & how would he know if all he kept telling me he wasn't there. Well *** my oil leak wasn't there prior either, but got there after they worked on it. I feel robbed & got worse problems than what I started with.
Product_Or_Service: Oil change, timing belt assembly kit, alternator
Order_Number: #XXX-XXXXX

Desired Outcome

Replacement I want my car fixed correctly, completely without someone breaking anything & not telling me or telling me they never touched that part, after taking apart half the car 3 times. I DO NOT want to talk to Andrew. I want to speak to someone higher up, whether they were there at that time or not. I want my car FIXED, correctly & respectively, even if it is a old car, it's MY old car that I PAID to get fixed NOT fix something, then break something else.

Assistant Regional Manager, Tom P has contacted the customer and she is bringing her vehicle to our location in Grapevine today to verify her concerns and try to work towards a resolution.
Thank you.

Charged $950 for a new fuel pump that did not fix my issue then charged $85 for battery terminals that fixed the issue
I had to have my car towed here because it lost all power. No electronics no nothing. Completely dead. They told me I needed to replace the fuel pump for $950. They completed the work and I drove my car home only for it to lose power again after driving it a mile. I was able to get it back to driver's edge where they told me now I needed to have my battery terminals replaced for $85. No issues after the much cheaper fix of $85 that should've been done in the first place.

I expressed my complaints to someone who works there that said there is no way to prove that the fuel pump repair was unnecessary. I have also wrote a complaint on their website and of course no follow up.

Desired Outcome

I would like the business to reimburse me $950.41 for a repair that was unnecessary. This is a tactic that mechanics use because the general public is not knowledgeable about cars. I would like them to be held responsible for their actions so they do not continue to take advantage of the citizens of Irving.

Mr. had his vehicle towed to the Driver's Edge in Irving, Texas, because the car would not start. The car was inspected by an ASE Certified Technician. The Technician found the fuel pump had both power and ground but would not energize. The fuel pump was found to have shorted internally. Mr. approved the fuel pump replacement and the repair was completed by an ASE Certified Technician using industry accepted practices. The car started and operated properly. Mr. brought the car back and the store found the pump did not have a ground signal at the pump. The store repaired the separate fault.
