BRH Auto 227

On April 20, 2018 I took my car into Driver's Edge to have the brakes replaced. They were making a noise. Juan at Driver's Edge called me to tell me what the cost would be, and that the job would be done that day. Juan called me back approximately 2 hours later to tell me that there was "a problem". The technician was pulling the car into the repair bay and hit the wall. I was forgiving about this and told him that "things happen", but that I needed some time to view the damage and figure out the best plan of action. That evening I went over to see my car and take pictures. I also called my insurance company and got advice from them on how to proceed. Driver's Edge wanted to send my car over to "a buddy" of theirs to fix it, and it would be "good as new". I voiced my concern about the possibility of mechanical damage and was told that they checked it out and everything was fine. It was at this point that something didn't settle with me, and I told them that I wanted to obtain my own estimate on both the body damage (front fender, hood, quarter panel, light and small dents on the door)and mechanical damage (most definitely a wheel alignment issue and I could see broken brackets inside the wheel well too). I picked up my car and brought it to ElDorado Chevrolet for both a body shop and mechanical estimate. The repair estimates total over $5000. My car is a 2002 Buick LeSabre and is not worth that amount. So, my car is considered totaled.
Drivers Edge has received the estimate and has "promised" to take care of this. It is now over one month and nothing has been done whatsoever. According to the dealership there is suspension damage. My car is not driveable as it is making noise, smells funny and is leaking fluid. I have not received a rental car or any compensation for this. I am lucky to get an answer to my emails. I need some assistance with this, and am probably going to have to get my attorney get involved.
