I have my bank statements that show I only got one payment behind. I was paying $255 a month starting June 9, 2014. There were months that I would pay $300 even. I even made a double payment in March of 2015. One payment was $205 on March 11, 2015 and the other was $255 on March 31, 2015. Yes I did miss a payment in April of this year. I talked to Emily and set up the payment arrangments but I guess that didn't matter to them and I also don't think it mattered to them that I bought a car through them in 2012-2013 years and always paid my payments on time and even paid more each month. I just think it is very wrong that they let some people go 6 months without making a payment keep their rigs but I miss one payment but have payment arrangments but they quickly come repo my rig without any notice or anything. According to them I was 2 days past my payment date. I also think it's not very right that there are people that are telling Brian Harris to come get their cars but they don't. I just want people to be aware of what type of business this business has turned into since Brian Harris really isn't part of the business anymore. While I found the initial experience with the dealership very positive, that was ruined after I picked my car up from being on consignment. I was initially charged for a seat repair that was not repaired and a detail. The detail (if done) was the poorest attempt at a detail I had ever seen. The manager did agree to refund my money for the seat and the detail. Later the same day I discovered my spare tire was missing. The tire was not take by force, you need a key to access the spare tire and the care has no obvious damage. After 4 attempts to contact the manager, he informed me that his paperwork showed the car had been turned in with no spare tire. This is not true, my car has had a spare tire the entire time I have owned it. I do not blame the manager personally but someone with access to the keys removed my spare tire. Now I am out the cost and very unhappy with this experience. One of these issues probably no big deal but one thing after another with this dealership I'd not acceptable.

Review: I was buying a 2003 yukon xl denali through brian harris used cars in selah Washington. I got 1 payment behind, but I did call and set up a payment arrangement with their accountant lady. I paid on my car August 2, 2015 and come September 2, 2015 they came to my work and repossessed my vehicle. I called and was told nothing couldnt be done until September 4, 2015 when their accountant lady was in. I asked if I could come get my purse and kids carseats out of my rig. At first they told me no then she said hold on. She got back on the phone and told me I could come get that stuff as long as it was before 4pm. I went down there and got my stuff out of my rig. When I got to the car lot I was treated like trash. I called September 3, 2015 and asked to speak to brian harris and they asked who I was, so I told them and the lady said he wouldn't call me. She said the account lady will call me September 4, 2015. Then she hung up on me.

September 4, 2015 the account lady called and left a message to call her after 12:30pm. I called her at 8:30am when I got the message. The account lady was very rude and told me I was $1,800 behind which $1,500 of that was the balloon paymentstill owed a balloon payment of $1,500 dollars. She said I was 4 payments behind. If I was 4 payments behind that would be $820 plus the $1,500 balloon payment which would total $2,320 not $1,800. The account lady stuttered when I informed her of that and then said well your behind 4 payments and a balloon payment of $1,500 and then said in order to get my rig back I would have to pay the rig off in full which is $5,085.41 and then she hung up on me.

On September 8, 2015 we got a certified letter from them thats dated August 4, 2015 and stated I failed to make a payment of $204.80 and thats why my vehicle was repossessed. I had my rig until September 2, 2015. I made a payment to them August 2, 2015 of $300.

I am very sad about how this is being handled and how I am being treated

Also I know of people that are trying to give them their cars back and brian harris used cars wont go get them. But they treat people like me that have bought a rig through them before and pay more then their payment amount each month like trash just because I get 1 payment behind. Which I called and set up payment arrangements. This just is sad because I thought they were better then this...Desired Settlement: Well I would like my rig back since this was their wrong doing but unfortunately I know that probably won't happen so I just want people to be aware of how they treat their customers that are psying customers and want to do right.

Response:

Jeneszka F[redacted] and another party entered into a contract on

July 30, 2013 for the purchase of a vehicle.

The contract stated that the purchaser would make monthly payments of

$204.80 beginning August 29, 2013 and a non-interest bearing side payment of $1500

due April 30, 2014. The purchasers

agreed that they would be able to meet the financial obligations of these

arrangements.

The purchasers first became one regular payment behind as

February 2014 and then May 10, 2014 when they failed to pay the $1500 due with

a 10 day grace period. The A/R manager contacted the purchasers and attempted

to work with them. They made one extra

payment toward the side payment. In

November of 2014, a portion of a payment made was put toward the side payment

however the payments in December 2014 and January 2015 were only partial

payments sliding the account further into arrears.

After April 30, 2015 came and went and still the side

payment was not paid, the A/R manager attempted to work with the customer to

get the account caught up. The

arrangement was made between the purchaser and the A/R manager that the

purchaser would pay $600 by 6/30/2015.

At this time the purchaser understood that her regular payments were

behind as well as the side payment. The

A/R manager called the purchaser on July 10, 2015 and left a voicemail that the

agreed upon arrangements had not been followed through. The purchaser called back and stated they could not meet the obligation but could only pay a portion of it by July 31,

2015 which was paid and posted to the account. At this time the purchaser

agreed that they would get caught up with regular payments by August 30, 2015 and then

pay extra toward the side payment.

August 31, 2015 passed and the purchaser did not follow through with the

agreement. The vehicle was repossessed September

2, 2015.

The account was in arrears $1810 including regular payments

and side payment. The simple math would

be what should have been paid by August 31, 2015 and what was actually paid in

that time span. We believe we attempted

to make every effort to make arrangements with the customer that they agreed

upon but never followed through. Our

goal is to have our customers have reasonable payments that they can afford and

allow for times of financial hardship.

However, when arrangements are continually made and not followed

through, we have to consider our contract in jeopardy.

The purchaser stated some other concerns in the

complaint. Brian Harris is proud of its

customer service and professionalism of our employees. Understanding the purchaser was angry and

frustrated, the events on the telephone and later during the transfer of the

items are somewhat differently remembered.

The A/R manager listened and attempted to explain the situation while

not arguing with the purchaser. The

purchaser hung up upon not hearing the answer they wanted to hear. And then when the items were picked up, the

purchaser was angry and shared her feelings during the transfer. The employee helping her tried to make it as

quick as possible listening and taking the brunt of her anger.

The letter received

was inadvertently dated August 4 rather than September 4 as intended. However

the process does not begin until the certified receipt is returned to us in the

mail acknowledging the receipt of the letter which was signed by the purchaser

as received and acknowledged in the complaint. The letter received simply

reiterates the terms of the contract and once repossessed the full balance is

due and does not state balance in arrears as this is no longer an option.

It is always a difficult decision to repossess a car. However a customer who continually does not

follow through, does not pay as agreed, and puts our security in jeopardy

forces us to make that difficult decision.
