Company states: We did a small $320 job for the consumer. There were two people that I knew that completed. One of the guys that did the work went to jail for stealing the rings. I helped the detectives. They got most of the rings back. I am not liable for the rings because I was not even there...
at the job. That person has gone to jail already.The main floor is completed. I am getting ready to leave out of town personal reasons. I am willing to put stair nose (molding) to complete that job. I can be reached at ###-###-#### as soon as I make it back I will finish the job.
I am rejecting this response because:He claims it was a $320. job. He charged me $511.00. He is responsible for the people working for him. He promised to repay me the $160.00 I had to pay the pawn shop for my rings. The most expensive ones were not returned. He said he would pay me for them even if he had to make payments. Now he's backing out of it. If he would have done a backgroung check on the people who work for him, he would have known the guy had a criminal record. I hired Brian not 2 strangers to come into my house.The floor has been completed.
I hired Brian Himenes to do a cosmetic remodel job which includes tear out, flooring, painting, removal of wall paper and popcorn ceilings, counter tops, etc... He requested an upfront check from with of $6600. I turn the house over to him the beginning of Nov 2017. Around Dec 1st, I notice all he as done was the tear out of flooring, wall paper, popcorn ceilings, and mud walls. As of today 12/13/17, he has walked off the job and refused to refund me the balance owed of $4600. Basically, he misrepresented himself and told me he had a license which I now find is REVOKED. He has defrauded me out of money AND he has made personal threats against myself and my partner...saying..."you better watch out...you don't know who your dealing with...you have know idea who my family is." I have filed a report with authorities He has been the most unprofessional guy I have ever met... he never does what he says he is going to do. I would highly recommend NO ONE ever use this guys. If a deal seems too good to be true. It usually is.
Review: Mr. [redacted] was hired to install flooring in my entryway, hallway and kitchen. We had ordered some stairnose through [redacted]. It didn't come in until the last day the guys were there working. When my husband came home with it the guys were gone. That was on a Friday. When I was getting ready for church on the following Sunday, I opened my jewelry box to discover about 10 of my rings had been stolen. I called [redacted] right away. He told me who he had supected. He told me he never did background checks on his employees. He told me he would do anything to make this good. I filed a police report. His employee had a police record and was picked up. Some of my rings were located at a pawn shop. I had to pay $160.00 to get those rings back. [redacted] said he would repay me. He also then told me other customers had reported items stolen. When Mr. [redacted] didn't come by to look at the unfinished flooring and pay me the $160.00, I told him I was going to turn it over to my insurance company and file a report with the Revdex.com. He said he would be at my house last night 4/23/15 at 6 pm. He didn't show up or call.Desired Settlement: I would like my flooring completed, my $160.00 reimbursed and the cost of the other rings repaid.

Were the 2 employees he had, an Asian guy (in his 30's) and a young white guy (in his 20's)?
To anyone thinking of hiring this contractor, do yourself a favor and avoid this contractor at all costs. He is a liar with so many broken promises. I thought I would be able to save about $2,000 out of a $17,000 material and labor project with this contractor. It ended up costing me more than any of my other estimates. If I had the time, I would have taken this contractor to court.
If you are still not convinced, then make sure you write up a good contract for your projects and be prepare to take that contract and his contractor to court. Make sure you do your background checks and research. You have been warned.
