On February 15th, I brought you my diamond bracelet that my late husband gave me over years agoThe bracelet was broken and was in piecesYour employee said no problem that will be an easy fixAbout a week later I received a call to notify me that the bracelet could be fixed, said he was going to make some repairs, (never said what he was going to do) and did not give me an estimate over the phone, The next week he called again and said it was done and it was going to be $and change, At that moment I said ok but my mind and emotions were consumed with getting to the hospital to see my dying mother who did pass away a few days laterIn actuality I really did assume that the repair cost was $and not $2,which I would never have agreed to.When I did go to pick up the bracelet and they brought it out and said $2,I almost faintedI could not believe this priceI did not have that type of money nor would I have ever approved such a price in the first place.I left the bracelet and came back to pay and met with you and your employeeYou asked me what would make me happy and I said I want you take $off of this bill and you agreed quite willingly without hesitationI am assuming because you know how I was ripped offThis has been bothering me ever sinceIt was quite embarrassing,Recently I have taken the bracelet to a old family friend, [redacted] who was president of a large jewelry manufacturing company and who recently retiredHe analyzed the bracelet and determined that the bracelet that your company appraised at $40,(a copy of which is enclosed) actually had a wholesale value of $1,He approximately figures that the bracelet had 2.25ct to ct of top light brown diamonds with qualityThe bracelet is made of 14kt yellow gold[redacted] who also owned a jewelry repair business said a repair of this sort should not have cost anymore than $200.00.Obviously a bracelet that has a wholesale value of $1,and has been repaired for $is a terrible injustice to me and this community. You will note the repair ticket you gave me had no price on it as to what it would cost to fix(A copy of which is enclosed.Shortly after I picked up the bracelet a diamond fell outI brought it back to you since your store supposedly reinforced everything and that's when I received the enclosed envelope stating the bracelet's value was $40,000, condition WORN, and a note saying all prongs are very wornNeeds re tipping ASAP, till then no warrantyAre you kidding you charged me all that money and your next repairman said it needed re tipping.I am demanding that you remove the remaining charge left on this repairIf not I will have to other option than to report you to the Revdex.com and sue you for the remainderI have already paid $and you made me take a charge out to which I have paid $alreadySo all together,I have paid $which is far too much in the first place,I have advised the credit card company that I.am protesting these charges and intend to sue.Very truly yours, [redacted] ***

The repair that was brought by Ms*** on 2/15/the charges for the repair were accurate and correctand consistent with the prices that are in the our P.O.Ssystem which is also consistent within the industry forwork being completed Per the Geller pricing guidelines. When Ms*** came in
she brought us the bracelet in pieces in which I she stated that we are her 3rdjewelry store that she visited to have this bracelet fixed (in which the other stores she said wouldn't touchthe bracelet as it was too much work and would be too expensive to fix) and either way she wanted it fixed orto transform it into something else to wear as the bracelet came with an high sentimental value of "it was thelast jewelry item that her husband gave to her before he passed away"At that point just like it says on theoriginal receipt to take the item into our possession it was being brought in on an estimate basis and that wasexpressed to her so that our jeweler who was not working that day to inspect the piece to let her know as to what had to be fixed on the braceletAgain there were other jewelers that would not work on this due tothe extreme nature of this repairWe had to replace rivets in the piece, hinges, refinish the whole braceletwhich includes polishing and tightening over half of the diamonds in this bracelet, just the labor time on this took over hours. When I did call Ms*** to obtain the approval, I told her I had great news that even though the other jewelers couldn't fix it we could fix it for her, but I also expressed that it was a lot of work to be done and lether know that we would basically have to completely rebuild the bracelet to fix it and that was to do so 6hours of labor, hinges, rivets, complete polishing, and stone tightening (which over half of the stoneswere loose)The charges added up $2800, again consistent of what would have been charge to any guest, wasquoted to herIn the same time, she also did tell me that she was in the hospital with her mother I asked her ifshe wanted to talk about the repair when she had more time and she told me no and gave me the approval togo ahead with the repair. When the bracelet was completed I called her and was excited that it came out so nice, and then when wediscussed the charges again she then got upset and stated that she was never told a price then she said I thought it was going to be $not $So with now the price of the repair in question we had her come into the store to meet with myself and Mr***Ms*** came into the store we sat down and discussed the repair in depth and how it could have never been a quote for $with the depth of the workthat was doneSo in the end we came to an agreement on the price in which we discounted it to $plus tax in which she agreed to and then used forms of payment 1) Her Visa card ending in for $500.002) The new synchrony account which she choose to sign up with interest free terms for $Then she shook our hands and walked out the door, complete with the final receipt of services rendered.Regards,Gabriel ***General Manager
