Brian Moore was hired to install a wood floor in my living room and the floor had some defects in it.Brian Moore was hired in March 2014 to install a wood floor in my living room. He charged my husband and I $800 to install the floor, which would take 2 days to complete. After completion of the floor weeks later I noticed that the floor had some bulking in some of the boards. I contacted [redacted] for several months trying to get him to come out and repair his work, which is under a warranty. [redacted] did return to replace one board and said he would return the following 2 days and have not heard from him. Very unprofessional of and wont trust him to do any work for me again. Now I am having to pay a real contractor to pull up my floor and place a new one down.Desired SettlementRefund my money for materials and labor

I have started and have been working continuously on her house until the date of January 24th, 2014. I have completed several parts of the project including painting, installation of the ceramic tile floor and installation of lighting and plumbing fixtures. Mrs. [redacted] has made several allegations which are completely false. She stated that I have stolen their cabinets and vent hood. The cabinets were taken out of the house with her complete knowledge to have them painted as the kitchen is too small to complete the painting in there. The money that has been paid toward the job is compliant with the contract that the owner has. It was a payment of $4500.00 at the beginning of the job and $4500.00 halfway through completion of the job. There is still a remaining balance on the job that is to be paid once the job has been completed. The work up to this point is in line with the money that has been paid. I am including the emails that were sent to my wife, [redacted], with the email address of [redacted]. Mrs. [redacted] did not include all of the emails that were sent between her and I. Mrs. [redacted] also made allegations to the Contractor's Bureau and to the police, which resulted in the police calling on February 3rd, 2014 and threatening me as a thief and a liar. She stated to them that I had not started the job or completed any work in the home. She also stated to them that I stolen items from her home. She stated that she was unable to reach me by phone, email or text. I did speak with her on the morning of February 3rd, 2014 and have emails as recent as the Saturday before. I have spoken with [redacted], her husband. He is not included in this complaint. I have spoken with him and will be working only with him to complete the project. I have asked that the statements made by his wife to the Revdex.com, contractor's bureau and police, [redacted] be retracted. These statements were not accurate and may have a [redacted] term impact on my profession. The statements may possibly prevent me from obtaining other work and providing for my family.I will be working with [redacted] to complete the job and have requested from him to deal with only him on the project. I will have the project completed by March 31st, 2014. I have sent a copy of this letter to [redacted] at the email address of [redacted]. Please do not hesitate to contact me at XXX-XXX-XXXX if you have any further questions.Sincerely,[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Dear Ms [redacted] I will with draw my complaint again [redacted]. I no longer know what to do in this process, we gave them the opportunity to finish the job and they did not. [redacted] and is wife [redacted] have $9,000 my wife has paid them and our Viking kitchen cabinets that have not been returned to us. I did hire Bryan to do some remodeling at my house in 2014. Bryan told me that he has over of 15 years experience and he is very good with Sheetrock.
Well, I had to re-do his Sheetrock work and repaint walls. Bryan works very slow, spending a good half of the day on the phone. You never know if he is coming to work today or not. So, my experience was negative. I have lost two weeks, money for materials and labor.
More important here is that Bryan used my name as a reference to other customers and I've never authorized that. Those people called me asking why did I provide good references to Bryan and I didn't know what to say... The guy messed my house. How can I recommend his work to others?","neg-1

Complaint6/18/14 I gave owner/contractor Brian Moore $2,000 cash as down payment for materials for work to be performed in preparation for my family moving in. He guaranteed me the job would be finished in 2 weeks. Although, I pleaded for a lesser time frame, he stated it would take that long & the house would be as if moving into a new home. Five weeks later I am not even close to moving in, as he has demolished my home.A simple update, turned into living HELL. The required work was paint all ceilings, walls, & trim including garage. Update hardware on doors, replace carpet in 3 bedrooms with new carpet, hardwood in living room, & minor repair near kitchen sink[redacted] Moore only required $1,800 deposit, yet I gave $2,000. Twice more he requested more money to finish the job when I made many complaints via email, voice messages, & text. In total I have paid him $3,000. He has guaranteed me each of the 3 times the work would be done in 2-3 day period. He has been completely unprofessional in his dealing with me ie; unanswered phone calls, text etc. He said I frustrate him when asking when he will be complete. When he's frustrated, he can't work. This was the response to him when I told him how unprofessional he was being by not showing up days at a time & having many excuses as to why he can't communicate with me or show up for work. His kids had his phone, kids sick, truck broke down. He once said he was to hot to work, as I cut the air conditioning off after seeing how he comes to the house, cuts the air down to lowest setting, leaving all the lights on & sticking me with a huge bill for a house I don't even live in. I had to ask him to stop his wife & kids coming to my house, as I would show up & they would be over there constantly. I have aquired a $300 bill for him removing a toilet, leaving it in tub for 3-4 weeks with water running in floor , $200 additional storage bill. To date no room is complete, 2 toilets & stinky carpet in garage, house trashed, water running into drain in floorProduct_Or_Service: Home renovationDesired SettlementI request an agreed upon partial refund, as I will hire a professional contractor to complete the job in an agreed upon time.
