Review: I am contacting you in regards to Dr. [redacted] customer service in his office. I went the dentist on 5/1/2014 due to 2 of my teeth are cracked in half and I am in a lot of pain. They told me to call Dr. [redacted] office to see if their referral had come yet for extraction of the two teeth. When I called dr. [redacted] office I nonstop got a run around with how they don't have the referral yet so call back in a couple days. I called just about every day to check on referral status. I called dr. [redacted] office on 5/6/2014, 5/2/2014, 5/9/2014,5/13/2014, as well as 5/14/2014 which is today. I have proof of this via phone records. I would call and get told call back again another day because we don't have the referral yet. So I would wait a few days then call back and same thing. By this time my teeth are infected and I am in a load of pain. Today I called dr. [redacted] office. I got told the same thing but now they tell me last second that as of a week ago they found out that they are no longer taking our hmo for our insurance as of 5/21/2014. I never in the times I called get told that until I called today on 5/14/2014. They had known this for a week and I did not get told this or I would've called my hmo and found a different surgeon. I called my hmo who told me that they had sent the referral out on 5/5/2014 and It had been approved at that time. Also that they had faxed over the referral at that time to dr. [redacted] office. Which dr. [redacted] customer service person said didn't come when it did. I find it very unprofessional how the customer service was at dr. [redacted] office. Also the fact that dr. [redacted] customer service said that our hmo was lying, and didn't send anything over when they did. Also she said that she doesn't care how much pain I am in and that they got the referral they will still not see me, and that I have to find someone else.I am very disappointed in the customer service. Never have I experienced this before. The rudeness I experienced was just beyond me.Desired Settlement: As a result of non stop run around I am requesting a $500.00 payment. If this does not happen I will file a civil suit.
Our office makes every effort to schedule patients in a timely and efficient manor. Review of the ruels and regulations of the insurance carrier and the third party administrators is suggested.
