Brian's Classic Auto Sales Reviews (%countItem)

I purchased a truck from Brian's Classic Auto on March 19, 2019 and was told that the truck did not have any warning lights. Three days later, the check engine light came on. While getting the error code checked, I was told that the code had been recently cleared. A few weeks later, while I was pumping my gas the entire gas filler neck broke off. I have made attempts to contact the office and have been told to contact the owner with no resolution. I have not received my registration paperwork or a title. On May 3, 2019 I attempted to get plates for my truck and was told that the dealership did not transfer the truck into my name. I called the office and was told by the receptionist to call the owner because she could not find a file for me or any supporting documentation for my purchase. I called the owner who stated " you haven't received the title yet"? The license bureau contacted Columbus and was told that registration had not been transferred and there is no record of my purchase.

Mr. purchased truck on 3/19. He test drove the truck and there was no problems. He really liked the truck. He called me with in 2 weeks time about check engine light once. I informed him to have it read at auto parts store or come to me and I will read it. Never heard anything back from him until day of this complaint. Vehicles are sold AS-IS (attached in agreement). Titles was unable to be transferred into his until I received it from auction which was on May 1 2019. Memorandum title was done on same day Mr. made complaint. He called me about memorandum but it was unavailable because it was at BMV (attached in documents). Here at BRIANS CLASSIC AUTO SALES we always supply Memorandum Titles and or Title asap. I talked to Mr. after I picked up titles and told him it was available for pick up.

I understand concern but under no reason would I owner of Brians Classic Auto Sales try and misled or cheat any customer. He by any means owes any more tax money. That's why memo was prepared because tax money was paid. I cant prepare title work if I had no title. Under good faith I will return tag money to resolve problem...

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I purchased a used car at Brian's Classic Auto Sales. I met with the owner Brian and he was very pleasant and willing to work with me. He showed me cars that were in my budget that he backed with a warranty that was available after purchase. I would recommend this business for any first time buyers or someone looking for a used car.
Thanks again for the dependable inexpensive vehicle

thanks so much for the positive feed back....

I bought a truck from Brian's Classic Auto -12-29-18. I am paying for a truck price $4,500 and my title is saying selling price $1750. The truck has been in the shop for 3 months and I was still making payments when it came time to pick-up the truck on April 11, 2019 the truck still had the same problem, broken driving seat hazard when driving, transmission was to be fixed, still not fixed. Couldn't drive the truck, would not move in reverse or drive so I left the with my last payment on the truck. I stop paying because I don't have a fixed, running truck, that I am paying on until now.

On 12-29 -19 Ms. purchased a 2007 Nissan Murano. Within the month Ms. started having issues with her vehicle. She contacted *** about the problem she was having. *** Had Ms. Drop car off at *** put her in a loaner car until her car was fixed. The vehicle was repaired and returned to customer at no expanse to her. A few weeks later customer had another problem with her Vehicle and was asked to return to same mechanic. The ,mechanic couldn’t determine the problem he advise *** to take the vehicle to Nissan dealership. The 07 Murano was towed to Nissan of Bedford. Upon completion of the diagnostic we were made aware the main fuse blown and the vehicle needed a alternator. The dealership said it was never a problem with the transmission the vehicle just wasn’t getting the correct power to preform correctly. The car was at the dealership for about 3 ½ weeks due to part being on back order. Customer was also in a rental car while her car was being serviced. Provided by ***’s Classic Auto Sales free of charge. Customer has never came out of her pocket for any repair or rental cars during any of the process. On her AS IS vehicle. Customer car was returned from the shop on 4-12-19. *** reached out to Ms. to come pick her Vehicle up. Customer came to get vehicle before then new battery was able to get installed and was asked to wait a few minutes customer got mad and left. *** called Ms. to see what was going on with her picking up the vehicle. Customer refused to pick her vehicle up said she was waiting on her mechanic to check it out first. Customer informed me she would have it looked at in about a week. On 4-24-19 Ms. came to the lot to make her payment. *** asked Ms. to take her car. Customer advised her she didn’t want to take the car because her neighborhood wasn’t safe and she already had one car stolen “which was the second rental car she was loaned by ***s Classic Auto Sales” and she wanted to pick it up after it was paid off because she would be moved out that house by that point.

One week after Ms.’s car was at the Nissan dealership she reported the rental car stolen out of her driveway. We were advise by Cleveland P.D that the car was involved in a hit skip and they later determined the vehicle was total loss. Customer needed transportation to run errands during the process of the investigation for the stolen rental car. *** arranged for one of his employees to pick her up not once but twice to handle her business accordingly.

About the discrepancy one paperwork that customer signed. Customer noticed an issue on the price once she left the dealership. Once customer noticed the problem *** went to title office to get the error corrected. He was advise by the clerk he needed to have Ms. sign one paper to amend the document with the correct amount on new paperwork. *** Called Ms. told her the process. Which was her coming to fill out new paperwork and paying the correct amount for her tax and title. Customers Words “ yall made the mistake and you will wait till I’m ready to pay”. Ms. was informed the paperwork could not be corrected until she was able to redo paperwork. Ms. was contacted several times about correcting paperwork via text and phone calls from *** and *** she refused and or never responded each time. When she came in on 4/24/19 *** asked her to do sign the document again and customer said she wasn’t doing anything until the car was paid off.

I will admit the truck had some issues that was unknown at the time of sale. After learning about the problems with Ms.’s vehicle I immediately addressed the problem, answered every phone call and took care of everything. Ms. signed a AS IS agreement and I still repaired her vehicle at no coast no hassle to her. I kept her in rentals so she wouldn’t be inconvenienced while her car was being serviced. After paying all repairs I lost money on this vehicle. No profit was made one this deal. I just wanted to make things right with Ms..

Worst experience I've ever had with buying a used car lesson learned I got stuck with a car not even worth the 2300 I gave them

(Following is an e-mail comment to Revdex.com staff, ***.)Ms. purchased car on 8/01/2018 . She paid her car note each month with no problems. Never had one complaint to me about vehicle. Ms. had several opportunities to inform me that she a issue with vehicle. The first time I was informed of any issue was the on 2/12/2019 which was 6 months after purchase. Vehicles are sold AS-IS. Ms. called me and said she was returning the vehicle .I asked her why because your balance was only small amount. She told me she had purchased parts but mechanic couldn’t get a bolt off. I informed her I had a mechanic and to see what he could do for you. She said no , I’m just done with it. I asked her if she was sure about this decision and she informed me again that she was done with the vehicle. She had vehicle towed to car lot on 2/12/2019 which was the same day I actually was informed there was a problem .Parts were still in vehicle. She was very upset and yelling/saying threats. I said nothing. She said there was no refund on parts she purchased so she left them in car. On 2/14/2019 she called me to get parts out vehicle. I tried to help young lady but she just wasn’t interested in car any more. I work with all my customers.

I *** owner of Brian's Classic have been totally honest about the situation .I never offered to fix vehicle when she returned it .I said I had a good mechanic that I could have fixed for reasonable price. I'm not responsible for a vehicle after driving it 5 months

Customer Response • Apr 29, 2019

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
It Wasn’t Being Drove For 5 Months Because It Stop Running The Month After I Bought It It All Them Problems I talked To Somebody That Work At His Place Of Business About It Before Hand I have Witness All The Mechanics That Came To Look At It .

On 9/11/17 me and two other people went to Brain's Classic Auto Sales looking for a vehicle for a reasonable price, reliable , 4wd- something that could walk the snow, because I'm a full time college student that needed reliable transportation. Brian asked me what type of car was I looking for and I explained to him about me being a full time college student and I needed reliable transportation for this term. He began showing us trucks that he had on his lot., then he showed me this 2005 jeep grand Cherokee with 4wd for what I thought was a reasonable price for the mileage that was displayed on the dash board (249,000 miles). He began telling me how this is a great deal for this type of truck with so many mileage on it. He even began showing me pictures of these same type of truck on line priced 2,000 dollars more, Bam!!!! I was sold. He told me to get a tune up and the check engine light will leave. He said this is a damn good running truck. His assistant began telling me to step in their office to finalize the deal. BEFORE I handed her my debit card I asked was there a warranty on the motor and transmission? She stated: Yes, everything inside the motor and transmission for 30 days. I said good that gives me time to get it put on the machine at a shop to make sure I'm not buying a lemon. Around October 1, 2017. I began the tune up on the truck. I replaced all 8 spark plugs and all 8 coil packs, plus changed the oil and checked to make sure all fluids was up to par. On 10/03/17 I informed Brian that I was having problem after the tune up. He asked what was it doing ? I said choking like it's not getting any gas. He said bring it down to the lot .I did then he said take it to his personal mechanic I did and he could not figure out what the problem was. Then, Brain stated to leave it he will take it to a shop on the Westside of Cleveland. From October 9th when I last spoke with Brian until October the 25th Brain has been giving me some BS. he said he had done all he can do because the truck is still running the exact same way it was when it gave it to him on October the 3rd. Plus I cant even get any tags because the Check Engine light is still on and they will not take it through the machine with it on. I asked Brian to lets resolve this issue by giving me another truck at the value I paid or even 300 dollars less. Computation for the time I did have the truck. Again he refused to even work it out that way. Then I asked to just get the truck running up to code( reliable transportation), and again he refused. So now I have a truck that's not up to Ohio DMV Echeck standards a truck that still runs like it's getting no gas, No transportation ( stranded), and the biggest of all I'm out of over 2,000 dollars, and he's telling me he can't do anything. Buyers Beware!!!!!!! Brian is not a fair and honest man the way he portray himself to be. Last but not least, I asked Brain; if this was someone doing your mother or sister like this what would you do or think about the salesman or woman that falsely sold them a truck in this condition? NO RESPONSE!!!!!!!! EXACTLY. PEOPLE DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR ENERGY. IT'S NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brian's Classic Auto Sales Response

Young lady came to purchase car. She was interested in a truck I had. The truck was a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee which had over 200k miles. Truck ran very good and inside and out was in excellent condition. I informed her the blue book value which was double of what I sold car for. She took in on a test drive with 2 other people with her. She was gone for several hours. When she returned she informed me she took car to mechanic, he told he to purchase and she and everyone in the jeep also said purchase car. Few weeks later she came back and said car was not running correct. She showed me a paper saying she had car checked out once again. Paper said truck needed struts and maybe a tie rod. It said nothing about bad transmission or engine or even major problems. Truck was leas very low on oil and she complained the air in the car was blowing hot. I Added 3 quarts of oil and 2 cans of Freon. After I Added oil car started running better. She was happy and drove off. At that time she also informed me that she had a tune up. Don't know if that was true or not. Maybe a week or two later the car started running the same way. I advise her to return to same mechanic she said said she didn't have anymore money. I advised her to take to one of my mechanics. It took her a week or so to do that. She complained it took so long because of no ride home so I had my Secretary take here home. My mechanic had car and informed some plugs where not getting power that customer mechanic installed. He said plugs where behind motor..I had car towed because I didn't want I to drive while running with bad plugs. Tow man claim to tow car and informed me that truck had damage from a recent accident. He had to change tow truck to flat bed tow truck. Truck had no damage when sold. I paid for tow. Truck made it to other mechanic. He had alot of car in front of my customer so it took him a while to look at it. He replaced Coils because he said prior ones Where bad. After he finished the Coil the truck ran much better but needs converters. She told me to go get her truck she was being very Unreasonable. I reviewed..I believe that all I did for this young lady was enough. She went and got truck and now She wanted full refund. CARS AND TRUCK ARE SOLD AS IS. SENT IN ATTACHED DOCUMENT SHE SIGNED. Truck has Damage in and outside from customer. Truck Is still running as of today.

.I Believe I Helped Young Lady Well Over My Mean As A Car Dealership That Sales As Is Vehicles..
