present. I share your frustration with the dress size selection process. The fit of a dress can be unpredictable if you are selecting a size when measuring between different sizes, as most of us will. The industry standard dictates we measure an individual's bust, waist & hip, and equate those measurements into the specific designer's size card of the dress being ordered. Whether the sizing process and size selection is straightforward or challenging, we are always here to support the outcome of your size selection. Prior to any dress leaving our store, everyone is expected to try on their dress so we can ensure that it fits exactly as was expected when ordered and allows us to ensure the size sent from the manufacturer is accurate. This step of putting your dress on before you leave the store allows us both to see your dress on you for the first time in the size you ordered. After seeing the fit of your dress, we then discuss fitting options and expectations before you leave. Declining trying on your dress prior to leaving our store didn't give either of us that first chance to see it on you and discuss how it should fit. If at any time throughout the time of your bridesmaid process you are unhappy, please call us so we can take the necessary steps to fix it . The great news is that we have had you back in our store. Your dress fits nicely in the area the size was selected for and needs taken in through the smaller measuring parts. After putting your dress on for us, we were both happy to conclude this was indeed a great size to get the best fit for you! Once we complete the necessary custom alterations, it will be a perfect fit everywhere! Review: I purchased my sister in laws bridesmaid dress from the shop. I am a size 16 and normally wear an 18 in dresses since I am a 40DD. I go into these situations knowing that they will pick out a larger size for me, I've been in 7 weddings but this situation was beyond anything I have ever dealt with. I recommended that we look at the store since I had previously purchased a bridesmaid dress from them and had nothing but good things to say about the experience. While we were all being fitted the sales associate advised that the dress we chose runs very small and based on my measurements she was putting me in a size 24 to be on the safe side. After we discussed this at length and again she said it runs extremely small I made the purchase in that size. One of the other bridesmaids, who is around my size, went on her own and was fitted by another associate in a dress one size up from her normal size. I don’t understand how you can make me 4 sizes bigger than her when she was only one size bigger. When I picked up the dress and tried it on at home the dress fell to my waist once fully zipped. I am going to spend as much as I did to purchase the dress in order to have it altered. I understand that this is where the dress shops make their money but this is just beyond reason to have recommended that I get this size. I am not in the industry and I know that the sizes do run small so I trusted the woman that fit me and her professional recommendation when it came to the sizing. I feel like they took advantage and this really does need to stop.Desired Settlement: I would really like them to do the alterations and fix the mess that they created.
