I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below
Bridals by D refused to contact the manufacturer while we were in the store to prove that they could not return the dress. We called the manufacturer ourselves and there was an option for returns. When we spoke to the manufacturer, they would not confirm nor deny the possibility for the store to return the dress.Nevertheless, this is not our problem as the dress is not as it appears in the catalog, including the color as described. We were refused the opportunity to view a fabric color swatch. The store owner did not care how upset my mother was- she does not have buyer's remorse, she simply wanted a full refund for the dress that was not as it appeared. She did not want to exchange the dress after the way she was and is still being treated.

The gown was ordered from a catalog. The dress was not ordered incorrectly. The customer picked the shade, not the consultant.The customer went as far as calling the manufacturer about returning the dress. As stated to the customer, I did not carry that particular dress In my store. She chose it from a catalog and ordered it.If I refunded every customer who decided they didn't like their dress, as a small business owner I would be out of business quickly.Bridals by D has been around for 30 years and we pride ourselves on customer service and happy customers.When a customer picks the dress and color it is there responsibility. If I had the dress in my store  and the color came in differently I would certainly take responsibility for that.This is not the case with Mrs. [redacted]'s dress.Fondly,[redacted]Bridals by D

Bridals by D is a special order business. This particular customer ordered a dress out of a catalog. Bridals by D ordered it from the manufacturer in the customers requested color and size. The customer had buyers remorse and wanted to return the special order. The customer wanted Bridals by D...

to return it to the manufacturer. Manufacturers do not take back special order dresses. I even gave the customer the manufacturers phone number to verify that fact. n attempt to help this customer, I offered to help her find a dress in the store of equal value and they refused. I can not be any more fair than I have been with this customer. As a business owner we put the facts in print for our customers so they understand what special ordering implies. My receipt contracts clearly state no cancelation or refunds on special order dresses. I will not give this customer any compensation and I will not take back a special order garment.
