Review: My cousin's wedding is scheduled for Nov. 9 and we ordered and paid for 3 bridesmaid dresses around May. We were measured by staff and they ordered our dresses according to our measurements. When we recieved the dresses, which was August 17, all three were too large. I'm normally a size 2-4 and they ordered a size 6 for me. [redacted]'s dress was a size 10 and she is usually a 6. [redacted] is an 8 and they ordered a 12. We called first and explained and we were told they would look into it, but most likely would have to pay for alterations. We were concerned, however, that they were too large to properly alter. We went there yesterday and the staff were extremely rude to us and told us the dresses fit "just fine" and could be altered. This was after their seamstress told us she could not change the bust area which was clearly too large. She also agreed that these dresses were not our sizes. The owner proceded to yell at the seamstress, pressuring her to say that padding could be placed in the bust to fill it in. We were accused of wanting free alterations. Their behavior was completely unprofessional both towards us and their seamstress. They took no responsibilty even though they were clearly wrong. The owner refused us a refund or exchange for our correct sizes, which was originally what we had hoped for. We now have 3 dresses that do not fit. Our only option was to PAY to have the dresses altered, and they would still not fit properly. Thankfully, with some alterations, [redacted] will fit into [redacted]'s size 10 dress. [redacted] will fit into my size 6 dress, but I am out of a dress and am now forced to spend more money for a new dress. Time is also now a concern.Desired Settlement: To warn other consumers to beware. This apparently has been an issue with other brides and bridesmaids. They should be putting their customers first and should be treating their staff with respect.

Each dress is ordered using a company size chart using the customer’s measurements to identify the best size. It is rare that dresses do not need alterations of some sort.

The issue in this case had to do with the altering of the bust. The customer requested that the cups be replaced. Replacement of the bra cups was not an option, however proper alterations can easily be done. We never stated that we could not alter the dress properly. We alter 1000’s of bridesmaid gowns every year and our seamstresses are highly professional with over 50 years experience. The sample gown that the customer saw was the gown that was used to order these gowns. These customers gowns have the identical bra cups built in them.

Our offer the properly alter the dress still stands.

LET ME FIRST SAY… READ THE REVIEWS! TRUST THE REVIEWS! THIS IS NOT A NICE PLACE TO DO BUSINESS! MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE. SEE MY PICTURES!!!
So here’s my story and experience: First visit 01/25/2015 My first impression of this place was not good… the buildings are very run down and falling apart. The experience was a little uncomfortable, they had me getting undress in the same room as another bride to be… and another salesperson. The inside of the building is disgusting as well (mold, dust, mildew smell, spider webs ETC.) But I tried on this dress and fell in love with it. The sample dress off the rack though had red lipstick stains on it though – gross. I ended up buying the dress there because I fell in love with the dress, not the BridalTown.. I was told it could take 4-6 months to arrive – ok. We had to pay in FULL for the dress ($949) My mother and I had to call about 30 times to get updates on my dress, got the run around from the rude receptionists in the office that automatically forwarded my call to the owner, Bill T[redacted] (who only returned one of my calls – out of 30+!!!) They kept telling me different dates of when my dress was being shipped.
Long story, short…. I got confirmation that my dress was in.. So I had to make an appointment to pick up my dress on Sunday, July 26th at 3:30pm (exactly 6 months 1 day from when I ordered it) I got there on time, they couldn’t find my paperwork, then they just sent me upstairs to meet with Elsie, a woman who was about 100 years old and didn’t speak a word to me. On the way up to the balcony, they had it all blocked off because it was falling apart!! There was mold growing on carpet and every wall, paint chipping everywhere. They handed me my dress to try on in a tiny dirty closet. My mother in law had to help me put it on and lace up the corset. My dress was SO wrinkled. Then I asked for a bag to put it in, they said I had to purchase one for $17.99 and they have to ORDER one. I was very unhappy about all of this.
After I took the dress off, I went back downstairs to get a copy of my receipt. I also wanted to talk to the owner, Bill. I had to meet him in another building (where the bathrooms were – across the parking lot) As I greeted him and shook his hand and said Hello, he said “OH, I KNOW WHO YOU ARE! YOU HAVE QUITE THE POTTY MOUTH!” I said excuse me? I have every right to be upset with you and your service. We went back and forth and he was very rude and disrespectful to me and my family. Then he told me that I was wasting HIS TIME! I had it with him, I stormed out of there promising him I will make sure he will NOT be getting anything good out of this sale.
I want to warn EVERYONE about BRIDALTOWN! DO NOT BUY YOUR DRESS OR ANYTHING FOR THIS MAN!! HE IS VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL.
