Installation of pipe in my attic that froze.I had a leak with my hot water pipe's in my residence, Brideau Oil had to repipe my hot water to my attic, the pipe froze. They came and said that it should of had insulation installed which they did not do on the final job, they charged me for the service call on which it should of been done when they finished the installation, I would not use this place again, and I am still trying to get my bill corrected.Desired SettlementI am trying to get my bill taken care of.Business Response On August 7th we received a "water leak" call, the result was that the domestic hot water pipes in your concrete foundation were leaking. As your home is on a slab foundation we had to run all piping overhead in the attic to reach all the fixtures in your home. We ran new domestic hot water pipes to all the outlets using Aqua Pex tubing and insulating the piping in the attic with standard rubber pipe insulation. This job was billed as a time and material job as it was done on an emergency basis. We billed the labor at a reduced rate, due to your concern about this being an unplanned emergency and we charged you for the materials used.December 31st you called in for no heat in one zone. That day the technician found 1 faucet not running water. He opened the faucet and after several minutes the water started running. He went back to the attic and recommended that more insulation be added to prevent freeze-ups.This service call was not charged.On January 6th we went and added Batt insulation over all the piping in the attic.We charged you for the insulation and the time to install, 1 hour. We feel this bill is justified because if we had known the rubber insulation would not be enough we would have had to buy the same materials and use the same amount of labor to install originally. You have called us and all our responses back to you go unanswered, including the mail which has been returned. We are trying but we cannot make personal contact.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)The insulation should of been installed when the hot water pipe was installed, I was shocked when I had no hot water with recently the job was suppose to be done. I should not have to pay for the insulation that was installed, this is an error on your employee, he also hacked up my walls when looking for the hot water pipe, I have had to pay someone to fix my walls.Final Business Response can we at least get paid for the extra insulation added?Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Extra insulation? No, the insulation installed should of been done with the job that I paid for over $1000.00 and I was told I was overcharged.

This is a great company. They always look out for their customers. Many positive experiences over the years and never an issue with either service or oil purchase.
