often buy things at auction that no one wants, I do this to encourage bidders to bid and start the bidding processsome times no one bids so 1 buy something and move on to the next item. So, yes I did buy 2 white plasticshelves that I did not really want for a SI and I resold them some time latter privately to 2 ladies for $2 each. 1see nothing wrong with this. If I had bought them for a $1 and resold them for S10 or more than I would feelthat was wrong. Auctions are a sale at a point of time and it changes minute by minute. To a first time auction customer it may seem chaotic, however it was organized and flowed with a methodicalsystem thru out the shop. In Auctions with a poor turn out, energy and pace have to high, to keep bidders interested, excited, and bidding before they leave, time is truly of essence.I did not turn any one away form this auction, and I have no knowledge of staff refusing to register a person. The only thing I could think of, is, you must have ID to pay with charge card or check. To think that I had plan for this auction to be a failure is totally and completely ridiculous. I diffidently putgood effort in advertising almost $1,000 and 4,002 clicks to our web page for this auction proves it. ExhibilsA,B, & C are advertising bills, tear sheets and clicks for the auction. I must admit I was disappointed in attendance. I assumed this was due to closing sales prior to the auction, which often happens under these circumstances. Customers purchase the items at closing sale so, they have no need to attend the auction. Which iswhy I thought [redacted] had moved auction date March 14 to 26 to give her more time for closing sales, this gaveher almost 4 weeks from our first meeting Feb. 26 and not to mention any prior sales before our meeting. It was a short auction, poor turn out, equates to shorter auction run time. People bought what they wanted andleft. I tried calling her 2 or 3 times but she gave me the wrong number. [redacted] chose an absolute auction becauseshe wanted as much gone as possible regardless of price, but no matter what the price is you can't make peoplestay or buy things that they don't want. Paper back books, long heavy display case with cracked glass top andtube type TVs are all almost impossible to sell even with great attendance.I truly liked [redacted] and my heart goes out to any business person who has to close, which is the reason why 1took the job, I told her from the beginning it was going to be a tuff auction and a heart ache for her, this is thereason I suggested that she go home and come back when it was done, I also suggested that if she could sell thebusiness $2000 to do it and be happy. If [redacted] had not been so mean to me on face book, 1 would have beenglade to work something out for the remainder of her items, all she had to do was ask. A retraction of remarkswould be nice and then I would pick up her cloths, jewelry, and display racks for her and try to sell them at ourgallery under our pick up commission rate, which is 10% more. But not the books or TVs,Thank you for giving me time to prepare for this inquiry by your office.Respectfully Submitted,[redacted]Auctioneer/Owner
