Bridges Bar & Grill Reviews (2)

Review: I made a payment over the phone with my VISA card for a patron at their bar. I spoke with the supervisor on duty, [redacted]. He informed me that the tab I would be paying for totalled $28.65. I authorized that amount and provided him my card information. [redacted] then confirmed authorization # 015929 for my card being run in the amount of $28.59. Checking my bank statement the following morning, I come to find that $89.53 was charged for that transaction. The transactiong was processed Saturday 10/11/2014. Since speaking with [redacted] Saturday night, I spoke with the GM [redacted]. He said he would follow up with me and I have yet to hear anything back. I have tried calling numerous times on Sunday (10/12/2014) and today (Monday 10/13/2014) and either get the run around that a supervisor is not in or simply no answer.Desired Settlement: I only authorized a total of $28.65 to be charged on my account and that is what the supervisor on duty ([redacted]) told me I was going to be charged. I ended up being charged $89.53 and a credit back for the difference ($60.88) is the least this business can do.

Review: The incident occurred on May 12, 2015 at approximiately 9PM at Bridges Bar & Grill. My first (and final) time frequenting this establishment ended in fraudulent activity from Bridges Bar & Grill management. I ordered my first domestic pint using the [redacted] promotion price of $1. I showed the bartender my [redacted] promotion on my smartphone and he acknowledged it and asked that I remind him when it comes time to close out the tab. That's perfectly fine. Bridges promotes $2.50 domestic draft beers during [redacted] basketball games so when it came time to order my second beer (during the basketball game) I ordered another domestic pint. These two beers should have cost me $3.50 before tip. When it came time to close out my tab I showed the bartender on [redacted] promotion and he called the manager over to apply the promotion. When I got up to use the restroom I heard the manager say, "I'm only giving him one promotion." When I returned from the bathroom my tab was in front of me and I was charged $1 for my first beer, and $4 for my second beer. I asked the bartender (whom was helpful and just following orders from his manager) why I was charged $4 for a $2.50 beer and he said, "One second, let me speak to the manager." The bartender then walked over to the manager (the manager's name is [redacted]) and discussed the issue and I could overhear the manager reiterating what he had said earlier about not honoring the advertised price. I then walked over to the manager to inquire as to why he saw it fit to charge me a price that was completely different from the advertised price. He continued to say they can't offer both promotions. I informed him that is the advertised price and he said they can't do the same deal. I said it's two different beers and two different promotions. He became agitated and said, "Are you seriously arguing over a dollar?" And I replied, "Are YOU arguing over a dollar?" He said that is the price and I said I won't agree to that and I won't sign for an amount that isn't correct to their own promotion. The manager then pointed to the door and said, "Get out." So I left bewildered at the fact that this man is the manager of an establishment that would try to cheat a paying patron out of one dollar and fifty cents. It makes me concerned for other customers that may have been cheated out of their money frequenting this establishment. Today I checked my balance and I was charged a hold of $8 and filed a fraudulent activity report with my credit card company. This was absolutely, unequivocally fraud which is defined as 'A false representation of a matter of fact—whether by words or by conduct, by false or misleading allegations, or by concealment of what should have been disclosed—that deceives and is intended to deceive another so that the individual will act upon it to her or his legal injury.'Desired Settlement: I ask that this fraudulent activity is reported and that Bridges Bar & Grill acknowledges this wrongdoing and takes

Everyone else at Bridges that night treated me fairly. the bartender was great. But I feel obligated to write this complaint as my concerns weren't understood or acknowledged by management. And yes, I did write a [redacted] complaint over $1.50 because I want the manager to know it is the principal of the matter. Who am I to stand idly by when fraud is committed in front of my face? It's unfair to the consumer and all the patrons that visit this establishment. I hope the owner [redacted] ensures that some kind of corrective action will be taken and this issue will be addressed. Please don't advertise prices you don't intend to honor.
