Bridgewater Carpentry

Paid $2100 for custom cabinets for laundry room in December 2015, has not delivered on product.I had [redacted] Bridgewater come to our house on 12/10/2015 to give us an estimate on building and installing custom cabinets to our laundry room. He gave us a quote of $4100. We paid him $2100 upfront by check on 12/17/2015 to begin the job. He initially said that he would get it done in one month. In the subsequent months, I have had to call him repeatedly to get updates on the job. I had left messages on his voicemail. He gave me different excuses why it wasn't done, including that a friend and a family member passed away. Finally, in May he says that it was done and was going to install it on May 27. On that morning, I received a call from him saying that the truck and the trailer that had the custom cabinets on them were hit by a car, and all the cabinets were destroyed. He says he had to redo them. Since then, after multiple calls, I reached him on the third week of June. He says that he is 75% done, and that he should be done in another week. Since then, I have tried to contact him multiple times, but he has not returned my call. Desired SettlementI paid $2100, and I want that money backMr. Bridgewater called me on 07/20/2016 to let me know that he is earnest in completing the job. He sent me an email promising that he will complete the job by 8/12/2016.
