Review: I dropped off some clothes to be washed, including a Baggu purse (valued at $35), and when I picked up the clothes two days later the Baggu bag was missing. I was concerned this might happen with a wash and fold service, and I had hoped that the laundromat would assume liability since they were in possession of the item at the time, or at the very least that there was a process to report missing clothes. But when I went back the same day to report the missing item, the [redacted] just looked at me blankly. I spent five minutes explaining the situation, and even drew a picture of the bag with a description, and her reaction went in this order: 1. Indifference 2. Denial ("Impossible!") 3. Derision ("How much was the purse? $35? So cheap!") 4. Dismissal ("I cannot be bothered with a $35 purse. How do I even know you lost it? Impossible.") I believe that the [redacted] should assume some liability of clothes that are in the laundromat's possession.Desired Settlement: I would like the [redacted] to assume some liability for the loss of my purse. This could include full or partial reimbursement for the cost of the purse, which was $35.
