I am rejecting this response because: It has taken the company most of this year to even respond to multiple written reports of problems, the company was difficult to work with last year, this has been unnecessarily timeconsuming.  I repeatedly reported problems in writing starting  this spring (and mentioned last year that the mortar was sandy).   Since I didn't receive response from Bright, I filed Revdex.com complaint on 8/2/2016 requesting refund, but Bright didn't respond to multiple Revdex.com letters. This all took several months; Revdex.com advised me that your company's Revdex.com accreditation would be suspended. So I just filed MHIC complaint.   Now it's getting too cold outside for masonry work, I respectfully reiterate my previous requests for refund.   Thank you.

Hello,
I received the...

message below regarding our complaint from [redacted] on 10/17. We were away and not able to respond until now. We were contacted by Bright Construction about two weeks ago. We are in the process of negotiating a resolution with them. I intend to keep you updated on where we stand. Within a 2 month period I purchased a set of tires for my van and a set for my car which cost me over $1,500.00. One morning about a week after my purchase I noticed my tires did not look full of air. I checked them and each tire had a different reading of air. I went to Vannoy's on Michigan Ave. where I purchased my tires, to get the correct air put in my tires and was told that I would have to wait 40 minutes, that they were to busy to put air in my tires. If the right amount of air was put in the new tires in the first place, I would have never learned how I would be treated if I really did need help. So I had to go get air put in my tires somewhere else. I guess air is not part of there warranty. I will never go to them again. I wish I would have known this before I bought the second set of tires. Maybe they were having a busy day but if they can't handle putting air in 4 tires why would I go back if I have a flat. So I purchased a flat tire repair kit for when I get a flat. I still can not believe that I was done that way. I guess once they get your money for the tires they don't care. I guess they don't need the business.

Review: We contracted with Bright Construction/Masonry to replace our driveway and the completed work was highly unsatisfactoryThe driveway surface is far from smooth, with waves and indentures and lumps in itWe contacted the Project Manager, Luis A[redacted], on July 26, 2014, the day following work completion, to inform him of the issueMrA[redacted] came to our home on Thursday, August 1, and conceded that the work was inadequate due to the concrete drying in the heat before the workers could finish smoothing it out, or before he could get other workers to our home to help them outWe expressed our dissatisfaction with the fact that they poorly planned for a typical summer day in VirginiaIn fact, this summer has been cooler than others by comparisonThe Project Manager suggested that they could recoat the driveway with a darker coating that would correct the smoothness of the top layerWe informed him that we would like to see photos of this topcoat, as the new driveway was poured at the same time as the walkways on either side of the driveway and such a mismatch may also not be satisfactoryWe were told that we would receive photos the following day, a Friday, via emailWe received nothing by the following Monday, so we emailed Stephen S[redacted], Jr., the primary contact for the contracted work, to inform him of the situation and to express our concerns that we had not heard from him regarding this issueMrS[redacted]'s response via email on August 5, 2014, was "[redacted], The driveway issue was just brought up to me yesterdayPlease give me a chance to review and I will follow up with a solutionThank you for your patience." We have not heard from MrS[redacted] for what is now approaching four (4) weeksWe contacted the Bright Construction office on August 28, 2014, following the 3rd week of no communication from Bright ConstructionWe spoke with a woman named Amy who said that MrS[redacted] was not availableShe indicated that she was going to get in touch with "Luis and Stephen" , find out the status and have them get back to us on that dateThat was a full week ago, and we've still heard from no one
Bright Construction is in receipt of full payment from us for incomplete and unsatisfactory workNot only does the surface issue require a resolution, but the final work also requires an acid wast is absolutely unfathomable how customers who've paid this company $10,for professional masonry, could receive such poor customer service in response to poor planning that resulted in less than satisfactory work.Desired Settlement: We expect the following from Bright Construction:
1) an apology for the inconvenience and the utter and inexcusable lack of professionalism;
2) an agreeable solution to the problem of an uneven surface that does not compromise the overall, uniform appearance of the driveway and walkways;
3) completion of the acid wash once an agreeable solution is reached and completed; and
4) a reasonable discount of the price that we paid for work that should have been completed no later than the first week of August,
We would prefer to hear from someone other than Luis or MrS[redacted], Jr., as we are clear that our concerns were never a priority to them

Hello,

Review: Two window sills were replaced for contract price of $1869. **. [redacted] acknowledged that the concrete had not set properly a so there were defects in the edge of both window sills. He ordered a repair kit, and felt that these second floor outdoor window sills looked "OK" from the first floor after the repair. He said that he would discount the total price by $150. I disagreed with this modification to the contract and asked, via e-mail, to speak with the owner. On 12 Sep, I got a call from the office manager. She said that the owner did not have time to speak with me. She offered $300 off. Of note, a previous proposal price for repaired precast sills was $268 each (dated 14 Jan 2013).Desired Settlement: I've paid $560.70. This amount should be refunded. I will have to have somebody else do the work.

My Name is [redacted] and I have talked to this Customer a few times and I also have pictures of the window sills.

We installed them and the customer said they were not perfect so we purchased a repair kit and did the repair. I will send the pictures if you would likeThis is a very small job. I had tried calling the customer several times after he did not pay to offer $500.00 of the total bill but he did not answer.

Please let me know what you need from me.

Thank You,

Review: [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because: 1. The contract was for new window sills that would not have needed repair. 2. A previous quotation for repaired window sills (which I still have and can attach to this complaint) reflects a total price for two sills that is less than what I've already paid. 3. The repaired window sills, in the words of the installer "look OK when viewed from the first floor." They do not look acceptable when viewed the windows inside the house, however.

I don't know what else to do I tried calling [redacted] directly to let him know we have already ordered new window sills for his job and plan on having them installed right away but when I identified myself he hung up on me.
