We hired Bright Point to remodel our home and he has refused to finish job.We hired Bright Point to do a remodel project for [redacted] per the contract we were to pay $10,000 as a deposit and $5,000 upon 50% of the project completion. We did both. After the payment of the $5,000 he has stop coming to the property and has halted all work. I have called 100 times, texted 90 times and emailed just recently.On Monday August 10th he told me that he wasn't working because we had a plumbing problem and that we needed plumbing work done that would cost an additional $485, I met him to pay for the plumbing but then he asked for another $100, I wrote check out for $585. No plumber ever showed up and the plumbing is still not fixed.On Wednesday August 12th he asked for $1,000 to tear a wall down, I refused he got angry and hung up on meOn Friday August 14th I called and demanding he meet with me at the property, he came over and begin to remove all the materials purchased for this project like the sheetrock, all the paint, the wood, the light fixtures, and the toilets. At that time told me to find another contractor to finish the work. I said to give me my money back and he said he would at 5:00p the same day. I went back to the property at 5:00p and waited for him to show he never did. Then he told me to stop calling him and he would send me a certified letter. I tried to visit the ADDRESS on the contract but it was a [redacted] and not a valid business, just [redacted].To finish the project, I have to replace the items he stole from my property and buy the remaining materials listed below. I found my items at another job he is working on. Let me start by making it clear that I never refused to finish the job. I have not halted work on the job. Since the date of this complaint I have completed the plumbing that I was paid the 585.00 for. I have have also done much more work that is too extensive for me to write in this letter but I will upload photos. I was at the house working on August 12th, I left the house to get some painters puddy to repair the windows before I did the touch up painting. As I was picking up the painters puddy she called me being very irate and disrespectful, and demanded I come back and work onHer property. I told her that if she could not talk to me calm and rationally that I would only talk to the owner [redacted] I believed the situation was about to get out of hand. I began to collect the extra material that was not needed for this job. I never stole anything. She filed a false [redacted] report with [redacted] at XXX-XXX-XXXX. He met me at the property and verified all the material she claimed I stole was in fact still it the property and canceled the complaint. She then filled another false report stating that I had stole the pullout from the disconnect box when in fact there was never a pull out in the box to begin with. What she saw was a pullout that I brought from home to see if it would fit in the disconnect but it was a different brand. I had intended on replacing the complete disconnect to show my appreciation for them giving me the job since I have several new ones at home at no charge to her but when I got these phone calls from the [redacted] I decided to leave it alone. She never found anything stolen from this property. This shows how irrational and un objective her thinking process is. I have replaced over 40 sheets of sheet rock,I took my extra material to another project that I was working on. Her ac/and coil was never stolen [redacted] can verify that. I never agreed to meet with her. I sent her a text telling her that if she continued to follow me and send me harassing text, and phone messages that I would have a restraining order placed on her. In closing I think it is very irrational to ask for a full refund when 90% of the work is complete. What I would consider is to cancel the contract and waive the 5000.00 that they owe me. My records show the only thing needed to be done is the following: kitchen:cabinets countertops dishwasher electric stove vental hood and tile, living room: engineered hardwood floors, bedrooms and hall: carpet, 2 bathrooms:vanity'sConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)It is September 25th and the work is still not complete, over three months from the original contract. Per law, on [redacted] of [redacted] and [redacted] a job like this should be completed in 3 months, that limitation has expired.and yes he did steal my AC plug out, I will continue to pursue with the [redacted]. Why would the [redacted] call the actual THIEF on the other things??? LOL, how many criminals admit to their crime...That gave him time to put the stuff back. I was on vacation and when I return the [redacted] report has been closed and I did file another for the AC plug. One part he did get right, I am very IRATE, We have given him over $16,000 and my house is not complete and since this complaint he has not answered all my other complaints. We also have claims against him with The [redacted] #XXXXXXXXX.Also, I have made a complaint with his [redacted], he has just been released from [redacted] for another [redacted] in [redacted] I need him to formally resign from this job in writing so we can go forward with an attorney and hire another contractor. I can't call him because he has threaten to call the [redacted] on ME! How does that work? The name of my company is [redacted] in which the contract was written. I am Managing Partner in this company and the guy that he speaks of is [redacted] the other half and wants nothing to do with [redacted] or Bright Point. He is IRATE as well, we want our money back. Time is up for him to finish.I can fax all my documentation. Final Business Response I have completed several items on this property lights toilets ceramic tiles.I got an email that supposed to have come from [redacted] called me and asked me why I wasn't working on the property. I told him I got his email asking me not to do any more work on the property. He said he never sent an email to me, so this is just more game playing by [redacted]. What sense would it make to pay a full refund and the property is 95% complete. She knew that I had been to [redacted] before she hired me. I have done several other jobs for her after being released from [redacted] even at her personal home, so me being a [redacted] didn't stop her from hiring me then and she being a [redacted] didn't stop me from working for her. But even though I have done more work on the property I will cancel the contract and allow them to keep the 5000.00 they owe me
