The staff at Dr. T's Bright Starr Pediatric Dentistry have been harassing me for payment when I was told that the payment made on 6/17/2019 would clear the account to a zero balance. Even after showing them the account statement signed to show zero, they said they would continue to pursue payment.
After Dr. T completed my daughter's services, I asked if we were all set and I was told yes. They helped me get my daughter to my car because she was groggy and we left. Within minutes of arriving home, one of her staff members called with an accusatory tone as if I walked out with the intent of not paying. I explained how it happened but the disrespect continued. I asked that the doctor call me back. Instead, the staff called me back trying to collect payment. I said that I would be happy to pay after I spoke with the doctor. Again, I receive a call from her staff stating that they spoke with the doctor and were calling on her behalf (and trying to collect payment)… Nope, I want to speak to the doctor. Later that evening, Dr. T called to check on my daughter and as I explained what happened she was completely unaware that any of these events had taken place. She was apologetic and I agreed to stop by and make payment. I spoke with Jessica and it was clearly stated that after this payment, there would be a zero balance (which she signed), no additional payments would be required, and if anything else came up, it would be written off.
Fast forward 5 months, I receive a bill for ~$900 stating that the insurance didn't pay the balance. I called and explained that my payment was to be the final payment, and now they are harassing me for additional funds. I even showed Jessica her signature where she signed stating that the account was to have a zero balance and she stated that they would continue to pursue payment. I have requested a call back from Dr. T at least 3 times since December and stopped by the office and I have not heard from the doctor.
To whom it may concern;We received a complaint #*** . We have no issue with billing. The account in question was credited $330.21 as a courtesy .We will not be writing off any more balances at all.The balance owed is $694.29 and is due by March 15. March 16 we will send this account for collection action.The patients insurance denied the claim which made her responsible for this balance. Dr. T does not discuss financial matters with patients. I never said she had a zero balance. You can consider this our final answer on this case.Thank you,Jessica TOffice Manger

I am rejecting this response because: The document that I provided as support shows where Jessica T, the office manager, wrote Zero as the balance and initialed it. Our discussion was that after I made the payment of ~$700, it would be the final payment... specifically, "No additional charges and if anything else came back, she would write it off." The payment that was made is and should be the final payment. In addition, I have left at least (4) messages for Dr. T since December and stopped by the office with no return call from Dr. T... and as long as it's her business, then I deserve a response from the owner.
The only acceptable resolution is for Bright Starr/Dr. T to acknowledge and respect the initialed statement of zero balance with no negative report against my credit.
