The Revdex.com has brought to my attention that you have filed a complaint regarding your non-refundable deposit of $
Having been in business for years we strive to go above and beyond in the care and learning for our
students. We also hope to provide the same quality service to their parents. Upon touring the school, you were given a Parent Handbook that describes our program's philosophy, learning goals for the children, and program policies. We encourage all parents to read the Parent Handbook and ask any further questions they may have prior to registering and enrolling your child.
On page of the Parent Handbook, it states the registration and last week’s tuition fees are non-refundable. Our policy is: when you register your child you are asked to pay a $registration fee, along with the last week's tuition which is $190-full time student rate (a security deposit). Upon registering and submitting your fees, you also submitted a signed form stating you had read and understood the policies in our Parent Handbook.
You also complained about the extra cost of field trips and in-house guests. An explanation of our field trip expenses is provided on page of our Parent HandbookField trips and in-house events are an extra expense, usually averaging $5-$10. During summer camp, there is a field trip or in-house guest (such as a magician) each week. Parents are asked to pay the lump sum fee of all field trips at the start of camp. Again, this was all explained in the summer camp paperwork you received on your tour prior to enrolling.
Upon exiting our program we require a one week notice, explained on page on the Parent Handbook. You did not provide any written notice for your unexpected departure.
We are very sorry that you were unhappy with our payment policy but we do go to great efforts to provide a clear explanation to all of our customers prior to enrolling. Our policy is also consistent with the standard practice for daycare and preschool facilities in Rhode Island.
