Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:I was the one who explained to Brighter Dental that THEY incorrectly submitted the claim at $3,when it only should have been submitted for $1,I also called *** Dental back in the fall and made them aware of this, fearing insurance fraudBrighter Dental refused to take action to correct it....denying receiving payments repeatedly. The ONLY reason I was requesting the total amount *** Dental sent to the Brighter Dental was because Brighter Dental was denying receiving any payment, then denied that any monies were due back to meTherefore I wanted to eliminate them from the equation and work with the insurance company. As it stands right now, I have paid $1,out of pocketThe claim to *** Dental should have been for $1,and I should have received a check for whatever is coveredIn the last correspondence from Brighter Dental at no point do they acknowledge needing to send any form of payment to meThey simply say they need to refund the over payment to *** *** They DO need to do this, thanks to meBut they ALSO need to send me a check for whatever *** Dental covered.

The patient was seen in our office, and charged for a crown, root canal, examination, and post and core for tooth #4. The patient made their co payments based upon her [redacted] guidelines. The patient was refunded back all overpayments made for these procedures, which totaled $90. The accounting...

department spoke with the patient on 12.4.17 regarding the misunderstanding in the refund amounts. After going over the breakdown of benefits, and co payments, the patient understands her charges. This complaint has been resolved between the office and the patient.

Brighter Dental wanted to do a molar root canal because my gums were injured by a flosser. I went to another Dentist in the area for a second opinion and I did not need a root canal! This was over a year ago and I will not ever go there again. I dont want to have painful dental if not needed? Shame on them.

This patient was seen in our Robbinsville location for orthodontics. At the time of the bonding of the patient, a contract showing only benefits from [redacted] was presented to the patient. When [redacted] insurance info was given, the claim was submitted to [redacted], with the primary insurance information....

[redacted] Dental did remit a payment to our Robbinsville location, however, the [redacted] Dental insurance has overpaid their portion of the services, and has began the process to request back the overpayment. We cannot process a refund to the patient monies that are not due back to him. Once we receive a corrected explanation of benefits from [redacted] Dental, we will reconcile the patients account and refund any overpayment. The patient is asking for a refund of more than the original payment they made to this office. If [redacted] Dental made an overpayment, the funds would need to be refunded back to [redacted] Dental, not the patient. Once paperwork is received from [redacted] Dental, they will be refunded their overpayment.

Not pleased with service. Left me in worse condition than when Trestment began. A cavity became a root canal became an implant....

Review: Brighter Dental advertises a Full Case of Braces for $3,650. for treatment under 24 months. After my consult I was charged $5,100. My son was told his braces would be on for about 18 months. When I asked why I was being charge the higher price I was told it was because I have insurance. On their website it does not read one price for insured and one price for non-insured, it reads $3650. Full Case for treatment under 24 months. This is false advertising. I specifically went to Brighter Dental with my two kids because their website reads They are NJ's most affordable and efficient Orthodontic team. They are lying about their prices on their website.Desired Settlement: I want my children to be charged the advertised price. This is why we went to Brighter Dental, the advertised price.

Review: My account with Brighter Dental reflects a refund balance for approximately $1571.00. The business office refuses to issue the refund per repeated Explanation of Benefits from both my primary and secondary insurance companies that validate the refund. Brighter Dental states the secondary insurance company did not process the claims correctly. The secondary insurance company states they did process the claims correctly. Brighter Dental refuses to take any action with a refund until they are satisfied with what they believe is the corrected action by the secondary insurance company.

This process started on August 23, 2013 and has yet to be corrected.Desired Settlement: Full refund

Review: To Whom It May Concern,

I have two issues with Brighter Dental Care. The first issue was that I had a Root Canal that was improperly that caused severe pain to me. I was advised by my new dentist to see a specialist and the specialist wrote that the Brighter Dental Care done my root canal improperly (written in Narrative section). I went through the proper steps of the complaint and Brighter Dental Care took no blame, even with a specialist saying it was done improperly. Brighter Dental Care did not even respond to me. They had a lawyer call me without even letting me know. The lawyer was very rude and contacted my dental carrier without my permission. He even called me dumb. As a result Brighter Dental Care is taking no responsibility and had a lawyer contact me without my permission.

My second issue (billing). I over paid $282.00 to Brighter Dental Care on 5/14/2013 for a service my dental carrier picked up 100%. My benefits with my carrier was exhausted because of this. I contacted Brighter Dental Care in 11/20013 about this issue and they never responded. I contacted them again on 1/30/2014 and they said they will work on it, but it may take 2 weeks. This is what they told me in November 2013. Please help me.Desired Settlement: $500.00

Review: I contacted Brighter Dental Care to inquire about a free consultation, after seeing an advertisement for new patient free consultations on the website ([redacted]). I explained to the person on the phone that I was inquiring about a free consultation for Orthodontic work. I also explained that I had orthodontic work done with a different Orthodontic Office years prior, and that I'm familiar with the process and aware that my dental insurance will not cover the service I seek. I told the person on the phone that if I was to begin service with Brighter Dental I would be paying for the service in its entirety up front, but first was seeking a free consultation to insure the service I wanted could be provided as well as get an estimate price. I was told by the person on the phone that since I was a new patient, the consultation would be completely free. The person on the phone then proceeded by scheduling me for an appointment.

I went to my scheduled appointment, upon sign in I reiterated to the receptionist that I was there for a free consultation for Orthodontic work, and that my insurance does not cover this service, and if I was to begin service I would be paying for it up front in its entirety. Everything went well at the appointment and at the end I was told to expect and email later that day with an estimate price for the service I was seeking.

Weeks later I received a bill in the mail for $90.00 from Brighter Dental Care. I called the office to inquire about the bill, and was told that I received the bill because I had dental insurance but my insurance company would not cover the cost of my visit. I replied by informing the person on the phone that I was told the visit would be a free consultation because I was a new patient. I was then told I would have to pay the bill. I later spoke to the head of Accounting, whom agree to wave the $90.00 only if I agreed to do the orthodontic work with Brighter Dental Care.Desired Settlement: I agreed only to a free consultation, and was extremely transparent about what I was seek. I was mislead, and do not feel comfortable doing business with Brighter Dental Care. I would like the $90.00 bill to be adjusted to $0.00
