reviewed appear below.[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]Regards,[redacted] I have received a lengthy letter of explanation and a reimbursement check for $171.02 from Ms. Carrie [redacted] DC.  The insurance company determines what amount is allowed for services and pays accordingly. Per the Insurance Company, only one copay of $10.00 was due. Since I paid a total of $192.84 and owed (1) $10.00 copay, the amount that should have been refunded is $182.84.  Therefore, this check is short $11.82. Ms. [redacted] notes that the practice has recently been changed from a "participating provider" to a "non-participating provider."  Indeed, I find the web site has been changed since last year as, when I was looking for Chiropractic practice the main reason I chose this one is that the web site said they "Accept Medicare and all major insurances."  Ms. [redacted] also notes that Medicare was re-billed on 11/18/16, but that is only because I called the office on that date and asked them to do so. Ms. [redacted] also indicates in her letter "you didn't even have a $10 copayment," but evidently she still charged for same.  I have received no itemized accounting of how the refunded amount of $171.02 was arrived at, but believe I am still owed $11.82.  Thank you.
