I have had to report this business as fraudulent to my credit card company If you are covered by this company and want to cancel monthly protection, you will not be able to do soTry going to the website listed on the left side of the Revdex.com.org website any try to enter a VALID, COVERED device number you will receive the following - Error: is currently unavailable I've been doing this for weeks in order to cancel my daughter's phone insuranceShe no longer even has the device but I am being charged $a monthInterestingly, when I enter MY cell# wich is not insured by this company the database look up works and I receive a message indicates that they cannot find my number in their databaseCoincidence? Absolutely notI am an IT professional and this error would flag a database admin and the issue would be resolvedThis error is purposeful or neglectful I signed up with eSecuritel, at a Verizon store a couple of years agoThey were apparently bought by this companyI tried to get Verizon to contact them (they have no contact options on their contact page), and MasterCard tried calling the number they have onfileIt was forwarded and rang indefinitely If you are considering using this company for device insurance, DO NOTThe 100% negative rating on this site should be all you need to know but since the Revdex.com keeps sticking up for them I felt the need to make the lengthy, frustrating, message MasterCard is reversing multiple charged and they have been blocked from using my card in the future I hope this helps someone [redacted]

And September I purchased a new iPhone via Verizon premium retailer cellular sales storeThe associate who upgraded my phone for me told me that they had a better insurance option where I could pay only a dollar more than I was paying now and get a new phone in store for a small deductible if anything happened to mineThis weekend I Jott my phone in the water and I ended up needing to get a new phone and use this insuranceWhen I called to file a claim I found out that the policy had changed and now I would have to pay $to get a refurbished phone mail to me and to business days they said just change the previous monthI told the representative that this is not what I had purchased in the beginning and that I feel like I was being scammedThe representatives were very rude and would not let me speak to a supervisor or anyone else available the girl that I spoke with named Sofije (ID# MG0525) would not let me speak and was extremely rudeShe basically told me sorry about your luck but the policy changed and we don't have to tell you about itI feel like I was scammed and that the plan was falsely advertisedIn the end I was unable to file a claimSo now I have paid over $over the months to this company for no service whatsoever

I called to file a claim for a mechanical defect on my phone, only to be told that I would need to pay a $199.00 deductible for a replacement phone. When I asked the customer service rep why I had to pay $199.00 on top of the $7.99 monthly plan that I have been paying for the past year and a half, she told me that the monthly rate is only a premium and any and all issues or defects require payment of $199.00 for replacement. When I spoke to the supervisor, he told me that my policy was different that what was on the paperwork I was given at the time of purchase and the $199.00 would be required to receive a replacement phone. If you purchase a phone from Target on a Sprint plan, please decline the protection from esecuritel and save yourself the time and headaches you will experience. With coverage from Sprint, most phone issues are resolved right in their store within a matter of minutes. I forgot to mention that the supervisor hung up on me rather than helping me. Very professional!

I signed up with eSecuritel, at a Verizon store a couple of years ago. They were apparently bought by this company. I tried to get Verizon to contact them (they have no contact options on their contact page), and MasterCard tried calling the number they have onfile. It was forwarded and rang indefinitely.

If you are considering using this company for device insurance, DO NOT. The 100% negative rating on this site should be all you need to know but since the Revdex.com keeps sticking up for them I felt the need to make the lengthy, frustrating, message.

MasterCard is reversing multiple charged and they have been blocked from using my card in the future.

I hope this helps someone.

This company sucks!!! Seriously! Have been phoneless for about 2 weeks now. Calling every single [redacted] day just to hear it could be "another 24 hours" bs!!! Shouldn't take that long to review for a stolen phone.now waiting on my replacement lets see how long that takes. You guys need to get it together. Making me send my id 3 different times cuz its "unreadable" [redacted]!!

I would highly discourage any users from signing up for their insurance programs. I have phone insurance through my provider Telus (Canada). I had to submit a claim for a defective phone (internal phone issue, no physical damage) Nexus 5. I've now had to have 2 phones shipped back to them for replacement because the replacement units they sent were all defective right out of the box (defective sim card reader, broken phone speaker). This claim has been ongoing for over a month and has been the most painful customer service experience of my life. The last claim I submitted (for the last defective unit they shipped me), they made me fill out an Affidavit which prolonged the claim another 3 days.

I made a claim on my iphone 6 and was told that they are on back order and to waot a month before I could finish my claim. So I call back to see if I can finish my claim and they tell me that my claim expired and I had to fill out a affidavit so I do and send it in that hour then they keep telling me that they escalade it and escalate it but nothing ever gets done and now when. I just called them and they tell me there is nothing they can do and they never send an email or call you like they say to let you know this company is a rip off.

Purchased warranty from esecuritel when I purchased my I phone 5C in June 2014. I just lost my phone & placed a claim. Unfortunately, I was told by esecuritel that my deductible is $199.00 vs $169.00 that is stated in the wecome brochure they mailed me back in June. I had to pay the $199 along w/$15.00 next day shipping fee since we went round for round and they wouldn't agree to the $169.00 that was printed in the brochure. I had to file a dispute and wait 2 days for corporate to resolve! Requested they pick up $15.00 shpg fee but refused! Was declined when requested corporate phone # also. REALLY REALLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

My experience with Brightstar has been horrible, except for one bright spot. My phone died on Christmas Day. I processed a claim and it was rejected. I called Brightstar and was told that my phone is under warranty and to call HTC (my phone's manufacturer). HTC told me no, my phone was purchased 2 years ago (I owned a different phone then, so Brightstar owned it). Long story short, Brightstar wanted to send me through the system (Escalation dept, wait for appeal, etc) which is dumb. My phone only has a $20 deductible, I pay 5x as much in premiums and to receive a new phone. FINALLY, a rep named Toni was able to help me out and she was AWESOME. A far cry from the supervisor I spoke to 12/26 (I couldn't understand his name. He had a thick Russian/Eastern European accent and he said he was in the Atlanta office). He was rude, condescending, he yelled at me and when I told him this was an issue between the two companies, not me, he hung up on me! I called back and the next 'supervisor' couldn't hear me (*side-eye*). Think long and hard before purchasing anything insured by this group, they teeter the line too much for my liking.

I recently got phone insurance through eSecuritel while purchasing a phone through target mobile. I was drawn in by their 3 step easy claim filing and you receive your phone in a few days. Calling them, paying your deductible, and receive your phone in a few business days. After my phone fell in to water (covered by my plan) I called them and was told I had to fill out an affidavit and pay to get it notarized. Then they almost denied it of a small discrepancy but then multiple extremely un informative representatives were unable to help me get my phone "unlocked" which they said needed to be done before they could process my claim. One telling me he didn't know what to do after a long "ahhhhhhh" when I told him it wouldn't turn on and that I needed to take it in to an Apple Store, when I literally live on an island without an Apple Store. Another told me that I had to get it unlocked some how or basically, there's nothing they could do. I spoke with multiple representatives and supervisors over the course of a about a week before I was told they were escalating the issue to their tech support and I would hear back. After a few days I call them back after not hearing anything and finally get some one who seemed to know a little about his job and gave me an apple support phone # to call. After being on hold with them for a half hour they were able to help me out. I called eSecuritel back and had to settle on a different color phone than I had, but was just glad I would finally have my phone come Monday, as I was told, and I would receive an email in the next business day (would have been Friday). Monday morning rolls around and no email. Instead of waiting to see if my phone would show up, I call. I am told a phone was never shipped out and that I was on a waiting list. Needless to say, I'm pretty heated at this point and pushed for an explanation an was basically told that the phone was there when they took my payment (deductible of 200 dollars) but before the could fully process it, they gave my phone away to some one else. The only reason I settled for that phone was because it was what they had in stock. Here I am 2 weeks without a phone since I started my claim, $210 out of pocket on what should've been a 200 dollar deductible after my notery fees, plus my $10 a month fee I am still paying and a growing amount of time spent dealing with this issue and still no phone on the way. This is not just a social inconvenience, but is effecting my lively hood as well and is exactly the situation people are trying to prevent when they decide Pay for insurance on their phone.
I don't understand how a company can misrepresent their services so badly coupled with having horrible customer service like what I have experienced and still have an "A+" rating with the Revdex.com.
Not sure if they're paying for it or what, but I think it needs to be reevaluated.
