BrightWatch

When we purchased our new house in September 2018, the previous owners had a security system already installed and monitored by BrightWatch. We contacted *** to install additional cameras and start monitoring services again in October 2018. We had issues from the moment they installed until the day we terminated our contract with BrightWatch in February 2020. *** is the owner and founder of BrightWatch and the only point of contact we had. He did not respond to our communication in a timely manner. In the beginning, it would be a matter of days before he responded then it turned into weeks and eventually months without hearing from him. We continued to have issues with false alarms due to a bad sensor BrightWatch couldn't identify despite sending out a contract service technician to our house multiple times. Police had to respond to our home several times due to continued triggered alarms. We finally had to stop setting our alarm when we left the house. We also had issues with sound on our doorbell camera not working. The outside cameras would intermittently go offline or not recorded important events we knew happened. 1 year after installation we still did not have a fully functional/reliable security system. BrightWatch agreed to stop withdrawing the $48.71 monthly from our account until services were working. Despite that agreement, they continued to take our money in Dec, Jan, Feb, Mar, April & May despite repeated communication to cease & desist. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH BRIGHTWATCH!
