Wrong ring, late, poor customer service
I ordered the French Ballerina ring with a 2ct center stone on 12/19. It stated “guaranteed delivery by 12/23”.
The ring wasn’t shipped for days. After 5 phone calls made by me, numerous promises of arrival and compensation for late delivery. The ring arrived on 12/24.
Well, it was the wrong ring. The ring I had orders and paid for 5 days prior had a band with .55 ct diamonds. The ring they delivered had .40 ct diamonds.
I immediately informed them of the issue. After 13 emails, and yet another phone call…. Their response was to send back the ring I received and once they received it and verified it they would make and send the correct ring, at their discretion. I assured them that since I had paid for the correct ring on 12/19, once I had received that ring, I would gladly return the incorrect (less expensive) ring they delivered.
Yesterday, I sent 3 unanswered emails and I am awaiting a response for resolution and compensation.
They are not attentive, do not rectify their errors and clearly are not diligent in assuring that you get what you pay for.
DO NOT ORDER FROM BRILLIANTEERS.

I filed a complaint with the BBB and if I do not get resolution , I will handle this is Small Claims Court.

I ordered and paid for an item I did not get, nor did I receive it by the “guaranteed” date and they do not care.

Hi [redacted],
Thank you for contacting us regarding the issues and it will be my pleasure to give you a more detailed explanation how exactly diamond grading works. Appraisals can be very misleading and I will explain. Diamond grading is not an exact science. Each gemologist grades a diamond...

according to two parameters:1. According to the grading method and standards of the gemological lab they grade by.2. Their personal opinion. There are many different gemological laboratories out there: GIA, EGL, IGI, DGC, HRD, IGL, GCI and the list goes on. Each lab has their own grading methods and standards. The same exact diamond will be graded differently by each lab. For example if you were to take a diamond to the GIA to be graded and receive an E color SI2 clarity and then take the same diamond to the EGL, DGC or any other lab for that matter to be graded you would receive an D color and a VS2 clarity. There is also a good chance that if you resubmitted the diamond to the GIA it may receive the second time a D color and SI1 clarity. A 2-3 grade difference is quite normal between the labs. In your case it was 1 grade on the color and 2 on the clarity. This is quite normal.
Diamonds are weighed in carats and not measured by their size. So if they did not take apart the ring setting and actually weigh the diamonds on a scale they actually have no idea what the carat weight of the diamonds in your ring is. They are completely guessing!
The weight of your center diamond is 0.79ct. Guaranteed.
Each gemological laboratory has its own grading methods and standards and within each lab there are different gemologists that grade the diamond and also the human factor which is a big influence (the graders fatigue, time of day, lighting etc…). This does not mean that one lab is right and the other is wrong. All of these labs are widely used labs that have been grading diamonds within the industry for many years. Almost all independent appraisers’ grade diamonds by GIA standards. The reason for this is that they are the strictest and appraisers prefer to go with the strictest standards because they have no reason not to. It is in their interest to give very conservative estimates taking away any liability from them. If you are looking to have the local appraisal match up with your purchase then you will have to buy a GIA certified diamond.Just to put things into perspective a GIA certified 0.75ct Princess cut D color VS2 clarity diamond will be approximately $4,500. That’s $2,700+ more than what you paid! We deal in EGL and GIA certified diamonds as well and will be happy to assist you with a GIA certified diamond if you would prefer. Most people today do not want to buy GIA graded diamonds because they have become so extremely strict on their grading standards making GIA diamonds so expensive and unappetizing for most consumers. Our customers have been very happy with the realistic grading standards and consistency of the DGC.
Diamonds are a natural mineral and all diamonds have natural imperfections in them. The imperfection that you are referring to is a natural imperfection within the diamond. Every diamond has natural imperfections. Each diamond is unique and imperfections come in many sizes and forms. This is completely normal. The whole point of a clarity enhanced diamond like the one that you purchased is to take a diamond that prior to the enhancement the imperfection could be seen with the naked eye and improve its clarity by having the diamond undergo the clarity enhancement process. There is no problem with the integrity of the diamond and you have nothing to worry about what so ever. We of course offer a lifetime guarantee on the integrity of the diamond and enhancement as well.
We offer a very easy return policy of 30 days full money back. We have issued the full refund.
Best regards,

Review: I am not happy with a ring I purchased online and would like to return it. I bought the ring from Brillianteers, because it was stated as a direct source with direct savings. Brillianteers had a ring sent from Tel Aviv, so they are actually an indirect source. When the sale was final a man named [redacted] sent the wrong shipping information, so the first problem with the purchase came before the ring was even shipped. The carat weight is .03 less than the minimum listed in the advertisement. The color is one scale lower than the DGC rating. The clarity is two scales lower than the DGC rating. The polish is good and the symmetry fair. As a whole, this ring does not offer the buying from the source savings and value that was promised. The lamination is coming off the DGC paperwork. The paperwork that came with the ring is deteriorating, and the ring is not the same quality or size that was listed in the advertisement.Desired Settlement: I live in Nashville, TN and would appreciate the Revdex.com's help in ensuring that I can receive a full refund for purchasing a product delivered from another country through a company located in New York, NY.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.

Sincerely,

Review: I was shopping for rings on [redacted] and came across the "my-diamonds" [redacted] store. They had some very nice rings though they are enhanced stones, meaning they are drilled to eliminate imperfections, thus making them less valuable. I engaged the owner who wanted to do business outside of [redacted] and avoid paying them their [redacted] fees. We started exchanging emails and we agreed upon a price for a specific ring that he was selling on [redacted]. He sent me all the information to do a bank transfer to purchase the ring. He then told me that no the ring had been sold and he could no longer make good on his sales agreement. I listed several other rings from his [redacted] store that I would accept in place of the one he claimed he no longer had. He simply stopped responding to my emails. The issue is that I negotiated a price that was $3,000 less than he was selling them for on his personal website, [redacted] The item is still available for sale on his website.Desired Settlement: I would like the ring I agreed to purchase for the amount I agreed to pay. I have everything in writing. It's a matter of him having baited me with a product then attempted to switch it to another product.
