Dear Revdex.com, [redacted] and [redacted] purchased a Watt solar system from Brimma Solar on December 14, for $23,and provided a deposit in the amount of $8, The system is estimated to produce approximately kWhs per year from the system they purchased (please see attached Improvement Agreement and Photovoltaic Solar Resource Estimate, both signed by the [redacted] ) Brimma Solar does not make any promises as to the cost savings or percentage of savings on utility bill as we cannot predict what type of usage a customer will have but what we can do is predict fairly accurately what a system will produce in terms of wattage on an annual basis We have monitoring tools in place on each project to ensure that systems are functioning properly and the proper output is being delivered by our installed systemsThe company has spent time and resources and has ordered product for this project based upon the contract We are not in a position to cancel this project and have offered to complete the project at our cost in order to utilize the materials we have Brimma will complete the job as written in the original Improvement Agreement for $17,for a cost savings of $5,from the original order If the client wishes to add more panels we will do additional panels at cost for them as well The clients can do up to 10Kw for $31, This will provide them with the greatest amount of production without incurring any sales tax

RE: Complaint [redacted] , Brimma Solar We were under the impression this complaint was closed We contacted the customer when we learned that they were wanting to cancel their work order after work on the project had already commenced Our production manager explained to the client that there was an opportunity to cancel the project but there were fees for doing so The client decided to move forward with the project and the project is now complete to their satisfaction Thank you, Justin L [redacted] Brimma Solar, LLC 206-321-

Revdex.com:Dear National Solar, Thank you for cancelling our contract but I must add that I am amazed at this response I do hope you do take these allegations very seriously so this won’t be repeated with any other trusting person or senior citizen I had one conversation with J.L., President of Teton Capital when I didn’t know that he was the V P for NatSolar Besides being told the truth about the job cost, I was also told at that time that I would need to co-sign the loan in order to go ahead with the project After that there has been no communication with Management(Because you would not return my phone calls) No apology No letting us know that you had cancelled the contract (I couldn’t have ask for you to cancel the contract because at that time I didn’t even know that my Mother had signed a contract But you did know that I was very upset by being deceived by your GenManager.) As for excellent reputation? Anyone reading this knows that if you treat your customers this way, you can’t have an excellent reputationNot to mention the complaints against your sister company, [redacted] *** And YES, what your GenManager did was complete [redacted] ! Thank you, [redacted] I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me Sincerely, [redacted]

Most of our customer's choose to use third party financing we supply to purchase the solar under a one year same as cash type of loan which allows them to secure their own financing or otherwise collect funds to pay off their original loan There are many financing options available to our customers with local credit unions offering lower interest signature type loans I would go the route of a local credit union which normally have much lower interest rates if that does not work then we can consider carrying the loan at a lower rate of interest With respect to the tax credit, all purchasers of solar pv system are entitled to the ITC of 30% of the cost of their system You just have fill out the proper forms when filing your Federal return To my knowledge, we have always returned calls and will continue to do so If there was a a day delay, we apologize and we will work more diligently to return a call the same day if possible A manager will give you a call today

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:We were lied to & the cancelation policy was not disclosed to usBrimma Solar needs to do the right thing & just give us our deposit of $8,back if you claim that you are a reputable companyOtherwise, it appears that the only reputation is you mislead consumers looking for professional experts to help them & you lie to them into believing whatever they want to hear just so you can get them to sign your contractThen, you use that signed contract against them, which does not qualify you as a reputable companyUp to this date in you already have additional complaints filed against you, all with similar patterns of issues with your overall service. In response to, “Brimma Solar does not make any promises as to the cost savings or percentage of savings on utility bill as we cannot predict what type of usage a customer will have but what we can do is predict fairly accurately what a system will produce in terms of wattage on an annual basis.” This is bogusThe GM told us the system he sold us would be sufficient to cover 90% of our energy usageThere are hundreds of energy usage calculators out there that can give you a good idea of what your energy usage will beWe gave him the same info the calculators ask for (# people living in house, size of house, appliances, etc )For a company that been in the business years they can’t tell us they can’t predict usageThe tools are out there and availableThe project manager knew right away that the watt system was no where near what we needed There is a big difference between watt and watt that was estimated with calculatorWe used our utility company’s energy usage calculator and for each month it was in a few percent of our actual usageThis info was shown to the project managerSo we find it hard to believe they can’t accurately predict customer usage.Yes, the attachment you attached is the contract that we were misled to signWe would like to see receipts of product ordered for this project as the project manager told us that nothing gets ordered until he comes out and assess the project and measures roof for panel placement and since we contacted Brimma Solar to put the project on hold as soon as the project manger left nothing should have been orderedOn a side, what would have been ordered? The claims they have done over jobs & for a company that says its been in business for years thats over job per dayIf you are that busy you would have product stocked for the next jobWe have since found many complaints against Brimma Solar involving the same Salesman/GM for the same thingHe gets people to sign contracts on systems that can’t meet their promisesThey straight up lie to you to get you to sign.Again, all we want is our deposit back so both parties can move on Sincerely, [redacted] & [redacted]

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to meThey have sent overnight my deposit and an extra $for the inconvenience of this issue and I am greatly satisfied with their response and thank them and Revdex.com for making this process possible Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Our company dropped the ball with respect to this customer's deposit and Mr [redacted] should not have had to wait as long as he has for the return of his deposit We are not exactly sure how this occurred but our systems failed to track this customer's order and in fact We are looking into how this might have happened and we will fix it so that there is timely responses to customers in the future At this point, this seems like an isolated issue Due to the inconvenience of having to wait, we will issue Mr [redacted] an additional $ Mr [redacted] refund was overnighted to him today Again, we sincerely apologize for the delay

National Solar, Inc does not have a contract with *** *** and the contract with her mother was cancelled due to financing issues and discussions with her daughter regarding the usefullness of State and Federal Tax credits We appologized to Ms*** at the time and had discussion with
her that led to her asking us to cancel her mother's contract, which was cancelled There was no deception on the part of National Solar or its staff and we take these alegation very seriously and will take action to protect our execellent reputation in the marketplace

We have reached an agreement with our clients Our company does not make promises with respect to savings as we cannot possibly predict usuage or rate fluctuations; what we provide all clients is the estimated production and all our forms reflect this The system does not save energy it produces energy and like most solar energy providers we make claims as to the system's production and we can stand behind those estimates In the interest of good customer care, we agree to refund the clients money minus the costs of engineering visitis The client agreed and so we will process a refund Thank you

We contracted with the *** on 1-23-to install a 4,watt solar pv system on their home We were also contracted to secure third party financing On 1-24-the *** contacted our office via email to send in documentation needed by our finance office to secure their loan
On 1-25-the *** were contacted by our engineering department to set up a date to take final measurements on the home This appointment was set up for the 30th of January On the afternoon of 1-29-our VP of engineering received a text indicating that they were not moving forward
All the proper contracts and forms were signed by the *** on 1-23-2017, including a contract to install panels, PV Rebate and Energy Work Sheet, PV solar Resource Sheet, Credit Application, membership application for credit, State of Oregon Notice of Procedures, State of Oregon Notice Of Liens, State of Oregon Consumer Protection Notice, a Finance Installment Contract Clearly the *** were aware that they were purchasing a solar pv system from National Solar and received all the required documentationThe contract clearly states in the front that the client has three days to opt out and on the back of the contract the terms of cancellation are clearly spelled out If a customer wishes to cancel outside the three days there is a 30% cancellation fee If the *** want to pay the fee and get out from the terms of the contract that is their right
Alternatively, and in the spirit of goodwill and great customer service, we will propose to do the *** job at cost as we have set aside the materials to do the job already
In a final note, National Solar has completed over solar installations in the Oregon market and has an excellent reputation for professional installation and follow up, so it is very disappointing to read that our company is "shady" We will take measures to protect our valuable reputation that we have worked so hard to build especially against unsubstantiated claims
I tried to attach documents here but was unable to use your system to do so If you wish to have all the pages signed by the *** please let me know
We look forward to resolving this matter

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:We were lied to & the cancelation policy was not disclosed to us. Brimma Solar needs to do the right thing & just give us our deposit of $8,302 back if you claim that you are a reputable company. Otherwise, it appears that the only reputation is you mislead consumers looking for professional experts to help them & you lie to them into believing whatever they want to hear just so you can get them to sign your contract. Then, you use that signed contract against them, which does not qualify you as a reputable company. Up to this date in 2017 you already have 3 additional complaints filed against you, all with similar patterns of issues with your overall service. In response to, “Brimma Solar does not make any promises as to the cost savings or percentage of savings on utility bill as we cannot predict what type of usage a customer will have but what we can do is predict fairly accurately what a system will produce in terms of wattage on an annual basis.” This is bogus. The GM told us the system he sold us would be sufficient to cover 90% of our energy usage. There are hundreds of energy usage calculators out there that can give you a good idea of what your energy usage will be. We gave him the same info the calculators ask for (# people living in house, size of house, appliances, etc…). For a company that been in the business 7 years they can’t tell us they can’t predict usage. The tools are out there and available. The project manager knew right away that the 5130 watt system was no where near what we needed.  There is a big difference between 5130 watt and 12500 watt that was estimated with calculator. We used our utility company’s energy usage calculator and for each month it was in a few percent of our actual usage. This info was shown to the project manager. So we find it hard to believe they can’t accurately predict customer usage.Yes, the attachment you attached is the contract that we were misled to sign. We would like to see receipts of product ordered for this project as the project manager told us that nothing gets ordered until he comes out and assess the project and measures roof for panel placement and since we contacted Brimma Solar to put the project on hold as soon as the project manger left nothing should have been ordered. On a side, what would have been ordered? The claims they have done over 3000 jobs & for a company that says its been in business for 7 years thats over 1 job per day. If you are that busy you would have product stocked for the next job. We have since found many complaints against Brimma Solar involving the same Salesman/GM for the same thing. He gets people to sign contracts on systems that can’t meet their promises. They straight up lie to you to get you to sign.Again, all we want is our deposit back so both parties can move on.
Sincerely,
[redacted] & [redacted]

Dear Revdex.com,  [redacted] and [redacted] purchased a 5130 Watt solar system from Brimma Solar on December 14, 2016 for $23,721 and provided a deposit in the amount of $8,302.  The system is estimated to produce approximately 5310 kWhs per year from the system they purchased.  (please...

see attached Improvement Agreement and Photovoltaic Solar Resource Estimate, both signed by the [redacted])  Brimma Solar does not make any promises as to the cost savings or percentage of savings on utility bill as we cannot predict what type of usage a customer will have but what we can do is predict fairly accurately what a system will produce in terms of wattage on an annual basis.  We have monitoring tools in place on each project to ensure that systems are functioning properly and the proper output is being delivered by our installed systems. The company has spent time and resources and has ordered product for this project based upon the contract.  We are not in a position to cancel this project and have offered to complete the project at our cost in order to utilize the materials we have.  Brimma will complete the job as written in the original Improvement Agreement for $17,955 for a cost savings of $5,700 from the original order.   If the client wishes to add more panels we will do additional panels at cost for them as well.  The clients can do up to 10Kw for $31,000.   This will provide them with the greatest amount of production without incurring any sales tax.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:
Again, as stated, by law the salesman was to TELL us about our cancellation rights.  This was not presented as a sale, but rather just a free estimate and just getting pre-qualified.  I have a meeting scheduled with my attorney on February 6th and we will proceed from there.
Sincerely,[redacted]
