Brines Insurance Solutions Reviews (1)

Review: I called this company to tell them to stop sending me SPAM.

I received two emails on 7/16/2013 from www.MedicareSupplementShop.com.

The first sentences were:

"Hi [redacted],

As your insurance agent, it is our job to make sure you have the best Medicare Supplement Plan for the best price."

Followed by a bunch of other verbiage and an 800 number to call.

This email is fraudulent and attempts to get me to visit his website - [redacted] L [redacted] is NOT my Medicare Agent.

I called the 800 number and [redacted] was not available. I ended up speaking to his father (name not known). I told him to stop sending me SPAM and the conversation quickly degraded into a shouting match. During this "exchange" Cris's father threatened to fly out to my home and do me

bodily harm. This is an ASSAULT.Desired Settlement: I want a letter of apology from [redacted] father and to be permanently removed from their email list.

I also want [redacted] father to state in writing, without any doubt, that he will not make any attempt to come within 50 miles of my residence and that he will never attempt to contact me in the future in any way, shape or form.

Business

Response:

Business' Initial Response

[redacted] requested information and quotes from my company on December 14th, 2010 at 2:44pm PST. We provided him all the information he requested. He than asked for an AARP application and Mutual of Omaha Medicare Supplement application, which we provided. [redacted] explicitly stated he was interested in doing business with us at that time.

On July 15th, 2013 we sent [redacted] an email offering to compare prices if he got a price increase on his Medicare Supplement, as many people do. He called our office and verbally abused us citing many false facts. He continued to use foul language and make threats. As he stated, the conversation digressed into a shouting match. Our position being it is never okay to call our office and use foul language and make threats.

[redacted] is saying we sent a SPAM email, when actually he requested pricing information from our company. This is referenced by the following email on Tuesday, December 14th, 2010 in which he states:

email from [redacted] to [redacted]

"Hey [redacted],

You sent me this email three times and it looks to be penned by UnitedHealthcare. I believe you mentioned you would send some info by Mutual of Omaha with an application and additional info on plan F. Are you still working on this or am I still confused?

My brain is starting to hurt... maybe it's time for some morphine and barbiturates.

Thanks,

[redacted]"

(end of email) I am happy to provide email exchange if necessary.

Clearly [redacted] is confused. We would like a sincere apology for calling our office, using foul language, and citing false facts. We will never contact [redacted], for his benefit or for any other reasons, ever again and do not wish to do business with him.

Consumer's Final Response

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

[redacted] you stated "We are sorry you felt threatened in any way...".

Please don't take me for a fool.

This is NOT an apology for your fathers actions but simply an apology for how I feel about your fathers actions. This is a typical attempt used by lawyers to redirect the subject in question - that being your father's actions and place the focus on me as the object of the complaint.

This poorly crafted apology shows a complete lack of sincerity on your part as well as intellectually offensive.

I have clearly stated my terms to resolve this matter. The action I require of your company is an apology FROM YOUR FATHER FOR FOR HIS ACTIONS - NOT an apology for how I FEEL about his actions.

I am not looking for any money now or in the future as a result of this matter.

I am not going to attempt to harm your company now or in the future as a result of this matter.

I'm just looking for an honest apology from your father for his actions - not a misdirecting apology from "we".

Do the right thing and this whole issue will disappear. I will consider this issue resolved for the Revdex.com, the FBI and the FTC.

It's that simple.

Business' Final Response

Hi [redacted], We apologize for sending you an unwanted email and have completely removed you from any and all database files and customer & prospect lists. We are sorry you felt threatened in any way and will not come within 50 miles of your residence. We will never contact you for any reason.
