Bringer Appliance Repair Service Reviews (%countItem)

In contacting Bringer Company to fix my Maytag Neptune washing machine they came out only to tell me it needed a part that is no longer available. He did not test the machine or touch anything else to assess the problem but did bill me for the $69.00 service call. The technician advised me to get the computer board on Ebay and that it was an easy install that I could do. After getting the part it did not fix not the problem. I called the technician and he promised me he would get a different part from "his pops" inventory. I waited three weeks before calling again to ask when he would come to fix my machine. He said he would come the next day. He did not make it due to other jobs holding him back. I then waited another week waiting for him to contact me before having to call again. I called the business owner about the situation and he told me the technician should not have told me to get the part from Ebay and that he will get the job done. Meanwhile every conversation with the owner or technician I had to give them the model number and serial number of my machine. Getting the feeling that they were not going to complete the job and waiting over 6 weeks for service, I called again to ask for a refund of the $69 they had charged me for no service provided. The owner agreed and said he would send a check. This never happened and three weeks later I called to ask when the check was coming and he said he thought he sent it. I am now very frustrated of not only taking my family of 5 laundry to the laundromat for over 6 weeks but also for the poor customer service that this company provided me. The owner agreed that they were in the wrong but seems he will still not pay for the service fee they charged me for nothing they did to fix my machine. I did not even ask for the $60 I spent for the part that I had to pay for online that was not refundable or the fix to the problem. It is businesses like this that would make me never to use small business owned companies anymore. The Bringer company took advantage of me and I would not recommend them to anyone for to service their appliances.

Bringer Appliance Repair Service Response • Jan 07, 2018

This is a response to ***'s denial to owning a service fee on his washer that the Manufacture Maytag no longer supply's parts for. They have been out of active stock for several years. We do not use used or refurbished parts or used parts sold on ebay. We do let our customers know that those options are available to them if they want to take a chance on purchasing a part at their own risk over the internet. We only use new OEM parts that have a warranty. Apparently my technician said he would check his fathers inventory to see if he had an old one in stock. (apparently he did not).

Our charge for going out to the house is $69.00 witch includes the trip out, the diagnosis and an estimate of repairs.Mr *** was aware as all of our customers are that we have a minimum charge of $69.00 The fact that a new and guaranteed part is not available from the manufacture is of no fault of my companies and does not excuse Mr. from our minimum charge. Also the fact that he took it upon himself to purchase a used part off E-Bay that didn't work is also not a fault of The Bringer Co. There is no repairing his product as parts are NO LONGER AVAILABLE As to weather the part he purchased was the correct part he was told he needed or not I don't know because there are several electronic control boards in that unit, His board he purchased may have been good and If he didn't take proper procedures to prevent damaging it from static electricity( such as using a grounding arm band). he may have even damaged a good board unknowingly since he is no repair person himself? He will be sent a refund. part of the delay was I thought he said his name was *** & I could not find his address because of numerous phone calls I couldn't identify his number on my phone

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear bel

As I appreciate the refund offer that the business owner has stated I cannot resolve the issue until I have the check in hand and cashed. I was already promised a check would be sent and that did not happen. As for the comments made in regard to not being a technician in fixing my own appliciance I totally agree bput also feel the owner is at fault for not properly training his staff on what they to tell the customer on his businesses guidelines.
