My review is of the owner of this company, Anthony C[redacted]. For the duration of my business relationship with Mr. C[redacted] he was continually hard to communicate with and seldom met expectations. When I finally terminated our association, he refused to pay me the $1600 deposit of the tenant that he was holding. I would not recommend Mr. C[redacted] to manage anything.

Review: Bristol Property Management, LLC was managing my property from 8/1/2012-12/31/2012. They collected rent from my tenant, but failed to pass on that rental income to me. Ultimately, I received approximately 1 month's rent from them before the end of the year, before ultimately ceasing to do business with them at the start of 2013. My realtor was able to collect 1 additional month's rent on my behalf several months late, but they refused to pay out any additional money owed. This includes a $5,000 security deposit that they collected on August 1 when my tenant moved in.On numerous occasions, they promised me--and then later my realtor--that "the check is in the mail," but in fast the check never came. They do not return my phone calls.

Desired Settlement: I would like $2,650 that is owed in rent, plus $5,000 that is owed in security. I am hoping that you can help me avoid litigation, which will be my next option with these crooks!

We disagree with the complaint. 1) The realtor ([redacted]) told us (Bristol Prop Management,LLC) on a phone call for us to hold the security deposit as it belongs to the tenant. 2) A check for $2,650 has been mailed to Mr. [redacted]. He asked for a tracking # but he only provided us with a PO Box address. Calling us crooks is unacceptable. We will be happy to litigate if he chooses to and place a lien on his property etc.It will be in Mr. [redacted] best interest to cease with the insults and accusations

Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2013/05/20) */

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT ACCEPT the response from the business.)

Bristol Property Management continues to use the same inaccurate claims that they have used for the last 6 months to avoid paying me funds owed.

As of this morning, May 20, 2013, the check that they claim to have sent me on their May 15th rebuttal has not arrived. If, in fact, the check does not come, this will mark at least the third time that they have failed to mail a check to me when claiming to do so. My realtor had a similar experience when attempting to collect on my behalf.

In addition, I emailed the company on December 28, 2012 with the following text:

"Lamentably, I need to go ahead at this time and end our service agreement. I checked twice today to see if there had been a deposit made by you into my account in the last week, and there was not--nor is there anything pending at this time. I have not received any deposits to date from the months of August (which I understand went to my realtor), September, October, or December, just the $2250 deposited from the November rent. Because of my current unemployed status, I can not continue to have a situation in which the money collected from my renter does not reach me in a timely fashion.

I appreciate the service that you and your company have given over these last 5 months. It has made it easier for me with my transition, and so I am appreciative of that.

At this time I would ask that you please forward me all remaining finances from my tenant, including the security deposit and interest accrued. I fully expect you to keep $250/month for August, September, October, November, and December per our agreement. I also expect you to keep any moneys spent on upkeep at my house, for which you will provide me copies of the receipts.

Given that the holidays are here, I will request that the above is completed by January 15th, 2 full weeks after the new year. This should allow plenty of time for sorting things out on your end. I will follow up with a phone call this weekend, but I felt that it would be easier to move ahead with a clear, written note first so that we wrap things up on the same page."

Clearly, I asked for all funds, including the security deposit, to be sent to me nearly 5 months ago. My realtor did not even speak to Bristol Property Management about this until a full 2 months later, and she tells me that she never requested that they hold on to the security deposit. Since they are no longer involved with me and my renter, they should not be holding the $5000 security deposit at this time.

In terms of payment to a P.O. box, the company actually was supposed to be (and initially was) depositing money directly in to my bank account at [redacted]. There is no reason why they did not immediately deposit all funds into that account, which would have eliminated the need to send any funds to my current address.

I can not be clearer in stating that this company has willingly and intentionally kept money collected on my behalf that does not belong to them. All I am requesting--and all that I have ever requested directly from them--is that they pay me the funds due, and immediately.

Mr. [redacted] has provided a letter to Bristol Prop Management,LLC authorizing that the security deposit can be released to him contrary to the information that the realtor provided in the past to our company.

We held onto to the funds until we received written authorization from Mr [redacted].

We did not trust the Realtor and her unprofessional manner.

We will provide Mr. [redacted] the funds due.

Thank you Mr [redacted] and the Revdex.com for allowing us the opportunity to respond in kind.

In spite of the earlier response of the business, they still have not paid me one dime of the acknowledged debt. I actually paid them a visit in-person, and was promised payment for the week following June 8th. This has not occurred.

Please reopen this case against these crooks, who continue to make promises and point fingers, but fail to pay what both sides agree is due.

Business Response /* (4000, 18, 2013/07/17) */

The Company have offered payment plan to resolve the matter which he refused. If we can't resolve this than it's in the consumers "complaint" hands to take this further.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)

I met with [redacted] at the Bristol Property Management LLC in person at the end of May. He told me that his partners did not want to pay me the money they had stolen ("stolen" is my word, not his), but asked if I would accept periodic smaller payments from his personal account. I told him that I expected nothing less than the full amount owed. [redacted] promised me that a check for the full amount would be mailed out, certified, within 2 days. Clearly, that never happened.

It is stunning to me that this company continues to balk at this entire issue. First of all, the fact that they are claiming to have offered a payment plan directly opposes their prior claims of sending me checks. Thus, we know that they can not be trusted. They have now been dishonest with me, my realtor, and the Revdex.com. Second, I have never told them that I would refuse checks from them--I have simply said that I want full payment. Their excuses are a disgusting example of a group of shoddy businessmen who refuse to do the right--and legal--thing.

I welcome any payment that they wish to send me; however, I will not be satisfied until that time when they have paid me, in full, with interest. Only at that time will I consider this issue resolved.
