I hired this service having had a positive experience with them some time ago. Jerry
[redacted], president, came out and bid the job. It was well understood what was to be done and although I thought the price was high, I trusted him.
The crew showed up on MLK day which was very cold.
They set to work and it seemed they were doing a little more on my fir trees than expected, but they had a few dead limbs and needed a little trimming. I was busy (and naive and stupid) and didn't stay out there with them. They hacked and butchered most of my fir trees! They cut off live limbs about 10-12 feet that was totally unnecessary.
Jerry stopped by at one point when everything seemed ok. After he left the crew kept hacking. When the crew went to lunch, I went out and inspected the trees. I was horrified and cried at the loss! I called the office and jerry's wife said he would come over. I waited and waited and no visit or phone call. I called the office and again and the girl rudely said, 'he said he was there already. Didn't you see him?' I cannot imagine knowing a customer was so unhappy that you would ignore them!
The crew was till in the truck, but it was taking so long that it was clear that Jerry had talked to the. When they finally got out of the truck and appeared to go back to work, I stopped them and said that there would be no more work until Jerry contacted me. he finally showed up and screamed at the crew for doing what they did, but never apologized and of course it was too late.
I offered him the deal that they could take their things and leave then and I would pay them nothing or do more work for less money. I also demanded that Jerry stay and supervise as the crew could not be left unsupervised clearly. Jerry chose the latter, but I had to stay out there and watch every move they made.
Jerry explained that the head of the crew that was supposed to be there called in sick. I pointed out to Jerry that that was on him and that he should have been there to supervise from the beginning. I got nothing but arguments from him and he always trivialized what had been done.
With my supervision, the job was completed, but my beautiful trees will never be the same! Anyone who knew anything about trees or even liked trees could never do what they did. PLEASE do NOT use this company!!!!!
