Broad Street Performance not only stole my transmission, they lied to MasterCard by doctoring emails, writing false statements, and submitting fraudulent documents. I lost $2,300 dollars from them. Don't use them, run away.

THOROUGH SCAN AND DIAGNOSISWE SENT HIM A FULLY REBUILT REPLACEMENT UNIT UNDER OUR YR WARRANTY AGREEMENTTHE SAME EXACT ISSUE THAT DEFAULTED HAPPENED AGAIN, THIS ISA DEAD GIVEAWAY THAT THERE IS AN UNDERLYING PROBLEM CAUSING DIFFERENT TRANSMISSION TO DEFAULT THE SAME EXACT WAYWE COULD SEND HIM TRANSMISSIONS *** ** WOULD EVENTUALLY DEFAULT AND FAIL IF THERE IS AN UNDERLYING ISSUE WITH SENSORSWIRING, FUSES, LINES, COOLERS, CONVERTORS, ECM COMPUTERS AND ETC. I had purchased a 4l80e from these people. Had it installed the first time at a cost of $300.00 and right off the bat it was bad had to take it out and drive 2 hours to drop it back off to these guys for repair. almost 3 weeks later I get back and another 2 hour drive to pick it back up. I had to wait for my mechanic to get the time to install it again. This time the truck would not move at all and my mechanic told me that he will not work on this anymore. I called Broad Street Performance Center and told them what was going on and they told me to pull off top transmission line to see if fluid was coming out and there was none until I revved up the engine to around 3000 rpms then it started to flow at an idle. I told them this and that it would go in to gear at about 1300 to 1500 rpms and felt sluggish I also informed them that I would try to get my mechanic back here the next day to take it out for a test drive. Today we had to rev it to 3000 rpms and then it kick in and the fluid was flowing he took it 10 miles round trip and it started to lose fluid. I called Broad Street Performance Center they put their mechanic on the phone and this guy flipped out and basically said it was my mechanic that was at fault and put the blame on him then hung up on me . It took 2 hours and a threat that I was going to call my lawyer if they didn't contact me and 5 minutes later they called told me I needed to the transmission to them to rebuild. To avoid the hassle and time and more money out of pocket I had decided to go with a more better company for a transmission when it was taken out and inspected by the transmission shop I was told and shown that this transmission was never rebuilt just cleaned and painted . This place should not be in business and the people need to be behind bars for fraud. I will be contacting a lawyer about this matter now that I have proof.

The way they operate you never will hear from anyone. They’re con artist!

It’s sad when u try and support black owned small business and get scammed!The owner Lloyd Henley is a con artist! He is the only one here that rebuilds the transmissions and he seems to have forgot a thing or two about rebuilding. If u try and call him about the problems you’re experiencing with the tranny he either yells, cuss u out or He get his employees to take the blame for work he does wrong when they have nothing to do with rebuilding (they only install and take out the tranny’s) Seems like he’s practicing on the transmissions (my opinion).If u don’t want to waste your money & don’t want to receive poor customer service do not go here. Go anywhere else but here

Bought a 700r4. Last year, had it installed a year later it didn’t work. They post a no hassle warranty that they do not honor... Im a police officer myself, so going this week to file the civil warrant. They claim is the fault of a bad tb cable, but everyone knows that if bad install, the 700r4 would not last but a couple of miles and not a year on the road. Do not let these people scam you, go to your local court house to file a civil warrant, trust me its not that expensive and you do not need an attorney. Cost is cheap. Dont let them get away with stuff like this... See you in court sir

Bought a 700r4. Had it installed and it didn’t work. Had to pull it and have it rebuilt locally. That was cheaper than sending it back and having them charge me to rebuild it again. Was told by the transmission repair person here that it had two lip seals installed incorrectly and had grime inside the transmission. I should have read the review before purchasing. Broad Street Performance Center Richmond VA. Beware this business as they are crooks and scam artists . Owner Lloyd Henley and Manager Ollie Bertram are both convicted felons and will scam you . They will take your money and give you a broken junkyard transmission with a new coat of spray paint .

Bought a th 400 from these crooks and found that the new trans they sent me was no good. Contacted them about warrentee and was told that shipping and other costs where my responeabilty. By the time I figured out costs it was cheaper to have a local trans shop look it and was told the trans was put together wrong. Upon contacting them again they told me I voided the warrentee by having someone else look at it. Do not buy anything from this company as they are shady and do not stand behind there shoddy work

I ordered a transmission for my 4 wheel drive truck in October using my wife's credit card. They sent me a 2 wheel drive tranny, and when I called them about it they said that's what my wife ordered (she never talked to anyone I just used her card). After a couple weeks of fighting about who was paying return shipping they finally sent me the right transmission. It was installed by an ase certified mechanic, and less than 2000 miles later the transmission is dead. It lost all power and left huge metal chunks in the transmission pan. The company refuses to do anything about it at all.

Review: I ordered a transmission from the vendor. It was to be shipped within 3 days to a repair shop located in Michigan where my car was broken down and my wife was stranded. They shipped the transmission to Virginia 9 days later and when I called about it they said I could come and pick it up, so I canceled the order for breach of contract and had the local shop rebuild the transmission. I disputed the charge to VISA and the vendor sent false statements and doctored emails to VISA to cover their mistake. I never did receive the transmission, instead they convinced VISA that I had requested that the transmission be delivered to Virginia using a concocted story and cut/paste messages.Desired Settlement: A refund of the money they charged me for a product (transmission) they never delivered.
