I'm a recently retired from the Federal Govt. The Thrift Savings Plan is a savings plan for federal govt. employees similar to an IRA. In October, I requested my savings be distributed to my checking account. According to TSP, the money was distributed on
Oct. 6. The bank never received it and the Dept of the Treasury said the deposit was returned by the bank. I recently received a tax document 1099-R stating a deduction has been made to the IRS, but I've still not been paid my money. I'd never heard of Broadridge until I got the 1099-R in the mail. I've called the TSP number many times and every time I get a runaround. How can we start a class action lawsuit?

My experience today was off the chart horrible. My mother passed and she was added as my beneficiary on an old account thru a company that I left 7 years ago and ended up recontracting with a year ago. I am now receiving stock bonuses that are going to Broadridge and without asking they transferred the old info from 7 years ago including the beneficiary, who passed away earlier this year. Now to get the beneficiary changed they need me to transfer my stocks to a new account (WHY?) and add a new beneficiary and in order to transfer stocks, you need to get a medallion signature guarantee. to get one of those your bank needs to offer it, my 3 banks do not. That means they require me to open an account at another bank and wait 6 months before they will do it and BTW I still have to pay a charge for it. This seems to me like a financial institution creating additional revenue for financial institutions. It's a beneficiary change!

Broadridge Investor Services manages transactions for stockholders. I have a stock which they service. On May [redacted] I electronically sold some stock but after two weeks I never received the proceeds. I called their offices and explained the situation and asked why I hadn't received the sale proceeds. Their response was that no sale had occurred. I was very surprised and upset at this since I had seen the transaction information on the screen but they continued to deny this had occurred. I now had to start over with this process and asked them to expedite the process by overnighting the funds to me. They declined and after I was put on hold multiple times they said there was nothing I could do but start over. I asked to speak to a supervisor and after a long wait was told no on was available. I asked for a return call and after three hours I was called back by someone who again stated that this was not their problem and they saw no evidence of my sale, despite the fact that I had done other functions on their site the day I was selling stock. I asked them to sell the stock and overnight the funds to me. She put me on hold again and then said she would have to talk to a different division and call back. When she did call back I was put on hold again while they talked to other divisions (right!) and came back and said there was nothing they could do for me. Such Poor Customer Service!! Why did the stock company work with these is?

Review: This company is the trustee for Walt Disney Company stockholders. They claim they have returned over $1,000 of my stock to the state of Illinois because they have not had correspondence with me. I contacted them on 3/**. They said the state would have the money on 5/**. I have no idea why it would take an electronic transaction 60 days to transfer when my online transactions take minutes. The money is still not at the state office. Either the state of Illinois is stealing the money or Broadridge is. I would like help regaining possession of what is mine. The state says Broadridge is in possession. Broadridge says the state is in possession. I am in the middle and need help.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund including interest and the money the stock has appreciated since this nightmare began.
