        I am very sorry about your recent incident...There are numerous ways to purchase tickets to our venue...Box office, on line and through ur authorized ticket sellers...It seems you purchased tickets from an unauthorized vendor...

     Our lineups have 4 national headliners every night...There are occasionally celebrity drop ins, but we never advertise them because their schedules are subject to change.       We would like to make it up to you by offering complimentary admission to another show and a round of drinks on the house..
        If you want a refund instead, we would be willing to refund the drink portion....However since you did not purchase a ticket from our box office, website, our secondary market partners or an authorized seller, we cannot issue a refund for the ticket amount.

Review: I bought two tickets for the comedy club costing a total of $50 on the evening of June **, 2013. The vendor who sold me the ticket, [redacted], had brocheurs and pamphlets and all types of advertisements promoting a certain famous performer that would be there on that evening. When I arrived at the venue I was told that the performer was never expected to play there. When I asked for a refund the manager, [redacted], told me that this happens all the time, and they do not offer refunds. This company knowingly hires a promotional company that falsely advertises similar situations like this. As stated by the manager and the doorman of Broadway Comedy Club, they hire this company to sell tickets and they know that this company falsely advertises their service. This is a complete scam, the tickets have Ticketmaster logo on them, but they ave no affiliation with Ticketmaster. They refuse to offer refunds, and they know that people buy these tickets to watch a completely different show.Desired Settlement: I believe this place should be closed due to unfair and possibly illegal business conduct. By purchasing this ticket I was in a contract with the seller and myself for admission into a performance for an advertised performer. Since the advertised performer was never expected to be there, and the management of this performance hall stated to me that they know this is happening, and they continue to hire them, this place should not be allowed to conduct business until they begin to practice fair and acceptable business terms. If and when they offer customers a fair business policy, they should be allowed to conduct business again. All they really need to do is offer refunds and sell tickets legitimately.

I am responding to the complaint of [redacted]...There are numerous ways to purchase tickets to our venue...They are available at [redacted], There is the ability to walk up to the box office direct and purchase, and tickets can be purchased from independant sellers as well as other reputable websites....When someone agrees to sell our tickets independently, we make it clear to them that they are not to advertise people that are not on the show...This creates problems for us at our box office as well as creates bad feelings among customers...By and large most of our sellers are respectful not to advertise performers on the show...Like in any business there are those that occasionally do not follow the rules...When we are made aware and know who these people are we no longer allow them to sell tickets for us....We make it very clear on our faqs page of our website what our policy is in that regard.

A: The admission varies, depending on the show.

Weeknight admission is $20 and a two drink minimum (non-alcoholic beverage are always available).

Weekend shows are $20 and a two drink minimum.

We highly recommend that before purchasing a ticket to our venue, that people check our website for up to date lineups, they can also call the club as well, comics appearing are generally on our outgoing message..

I feel bad for what has happened to this individual...I notice she lives locally...I will be more than glad to have her come back as my guest and we will comp their first round of beverages and send over an appetizer on us...

After interviewing the manager and our box office individual , there is disagrement on what customer alleges was said to him regarding ticket sellers...These people are not our direct employees...The customer if he has been in contact with the seller should get his refund from him.....That is the person who sold him the ticket.

If I purchase a ticket from a business and have an issue I can deal directly with the business. If I purchase a ticket for an event through a third party I ussually have to deal with a third party.

In this case the customer had he purchased a ticket directly at our box office, or had he purchased on our website, we would have been glad to issue a refund. Since he bought from a third party, we did not collect that revenue...The third party did...We do not share in that revnue..

When someone purchases tickets should they not do some due diligence ? In this age of smart phones, a website can be instantly checked...Our website clearly lists comic performing...Our website on the faq page clearly states our policy regarding tickets not purchased in our box office or website...

Despite this we are still willing to offer what we did in our original offer. I hope the individual would consider that we would love to show him a great evening...

I reject this response. After contacting the seller of the tickets as well as the promotional company hired by Broadway Comedy Club I was notified by both parties that my tickets were sold directly by Broadway Comedy Club. The claim of a third party selling the tickets that I purchased is false according to everyone I have contacted, including the actual seller and the promotional company, both of whom Broadway Comedy Club assured me would refund my money. There are tickets sold by third party vendors for Broadway Comedy Club, and the tickets I bought are not sold through a third party. The tickets sold by a third party are different tickets, for the downstairs venue of the comedy club, again not the same tickets I have purchased. The tickets I purchased are a different color, for a different venue and event, and not sold or promoted by the same individuals or through any third party. Once again, like any responsible business in this country, I would expect a full refund of my $50 since it is apparent to me that Broadway Comedy Club directly sold me these tickets. According to everyone the management has asked me contact for a refund, this company directly hires [redacted] to falsely advertise their events with promotional gear that includes Broadway Comedy Club logo and the names and pictures of performers who do not perform there, as well as HBO and Comedy Central logo, even though there is no affiliation with these well knows networks. Almost everything the management has advised me to do to resolve this issue has been completely false. I purchased these tickets to see the performance of the advertised performers and since these performers were never expected to perform at this event I want for this business to accept responsibility for this and refund my purchase.

Review: On Monday July [redacted]. Myself and 3 friends were in timeshare, a man approached with ticket sales to a comedy show. Politely we listened to his sales pitch. He told us how the red carpet would be at this comedy show, live tapping for Comedy Central. He even told me my ticket would be free since it was my birthday. He sold us on VIP seating in the front row. The night of July [redacted] we go to the 9pm show. We are seated in the far back. No where close to stage. After the first act we have a server come. We order cranberry vodkas. My first sip taste like the smell if nail Polish remover. The comedians were not funny. If I could have drank the cocktail I could have sat through it. After all the misleading and now in drinkable drinks I go to the manger. Express that I do not wish for a refund on the tickets but that I can't drink my cocktail. I give her the full drink and she says " you still have to pay for 2 drinks" I hadn't even been able to drink the one. No apology. Nothing. Too bad so sad. My friend just throws her credit card so we can leave. The manage bullied us into paying for something that couldn't even be forced down. Highly discouraging! I know the staff doesn't care since millions of tourists come through. I've never been scammed like this or treated with such bad customer service. It'll continue to happen too. I hope someone puts an end to it and soon. To protect the visitors. The only bad memory from my 30th birthday trip.Desired Settlement: I'd like our 60.00 for 4 tickets and 45 dollars in untouched drinks. A far stretch but it was unethical.

Review: Three of us were stopped on the street and shown a list of comedians that were to be performing that week. We bought 3 tickets. When we called to reserve our seats we found out no such people were going to be performing. We checked Revdex.com and found out there were more problems if we went to the show.Desired Settlement: Very deceitful way to sell tickets. I would like a refund.
